The one shown by @Vapor Blue GT in post #25 is not an ESP.
oh that one, yeah that looks like a generic stealership warranty designed to make you waste money and fight them every step of the way because you had someone fart on your cars plastic trimming from another dealership 30 ft down the road. don't get those.

Are you saying a Ford dealer doesn't have to sell a Ford ESP?

end of the day no business HAS to sell anything. only that guy will really know what that warranty is from, but its certainly not a Ford warranty

theres a reason why everyone hates dealerships these days, most of them are run by scumbags who want to strip you for everything you got for a 100% markup on a car.

Yeah, break the screen and there'll be no coverage, just for failures. Like park assist sensors, a failu is covered, but there is a scratch or ding on it, no. Everyone's opinions are valid, but after all these years, I still say you are beter off with one, IF you keep the car.

Three of the salespeople at work have new GTs and are going crazy with mods, but I can't get any of them to see the benefits of an oil separator for long term ownership. It ain't sexy and it ain't loud, but its valuable.

having said that, at 80 miles, I have an H pipe, oil separator, wheels, strut tower brace and blackout trunk panel already on the way :)

In my experience with those who are overly suspicious of crooked people, its usually because they are that way themselves.
I bet a a lot of us have bought diamond jewelry for loved ones, and I can assure you that you were ass raped on that transaction far worse than you ever were at any dealership you've ever been to, yet we have the bad name.
In 45 years, I've worked at 5 different dealerships, and they were all aboveboard. We write off about $10K a month in the interests of keeping customers happy, so no stealing going on there. I have credit card #s saved for over a dozen customers, for use when their vehicles come in, no questions asked, based on trust.
Draw your own conclusions.

I have 45 years in the dealership service business, including the last 4 at a Ford dealer (and just got my Grabber Blue '24 GT on Monday!) and I do tens of thousands of work every month, paid for by extended warranties. I usually recommend to customers to buy them right before the factory warranty exxpires, you can still get the same coverage and pricing as you would have it you bought when new. This way, you'll know if you are going to keep the car or not.

Any factory offering is better than any aftermarket offering, but there a number of good aftermarket ones. DO NOT UNDER ANY CURCUMSTANCES BUY CAR SHIELD OR AMERICAN AUTO SHIELD!! If you belong to a credit union, their offerings are usually good, as they have to answer to their members. DO not buy from anyone who solicits YOU, seek out what you are interested in

And regardless of what anyone tells you, they are NOT bumper to bumper! The good ones are exclusionary policies, meaning they cover everything EXCEPT what is on a list of exclusions. This is the list you want to look at. Trim, body, adjusments, reflashes and wear items will always be excluded, as well as diagnostic charges. As regards rental, the policies will cover rental only after a claim has been approved, so if your car is in the shop a few days for dioagnosis, they will not pay rental for that time. And they will only pay rental up to the limits of the policy. I have a 5.0 engine approved for an F-150, with a 6 month wait, and they are only paying 7 days of rental.

Just yesterday alone, I got a complete F-150 10 speed trans, and a Explorer torque converter aapproved, $7,000 and $2,100, respectivley, so they definitley benefit someone other that the warranty seller. APIMs at $1,300, VVT gears at $3,800, ABS modules at $1,100, and various and sundry leaks are all things that I get covered on a daily basis. I have 4 Fords in my family, but I am under no illusions about our product quality :(

Sorry for the long post, but know what you are buying, have realisitic expectations, and you will avoid a lot of aggravation and expense. I'm glad to entertain any questions on this or any othe rdealership matters.

Best regards!
Thank you for the very informative post !
Cheers!

We bought it through the Ford dealership. It’s through TWS and it’s a little cheaper and covers 99% of the same things. Ford dealerships don’t question this warranty and treat it just like the Ford esp
I would suggest you call some dealers in your area and confirm that. I’m afraid of what responses you might get. Dealers will tell you one thing but not everything is true.
