got some bad news for anyone who was looking to do the drift brake conversion. it's very hard. and expensive. the wiring harness that connects to the little switch has much different pinning compared to the drift brake, and that harness is a huge one that spans the whole dash and center console. replacing it is nearly $800 in parts and many, many hours in labor as doing it requires removal of the whole dash. the wiring in question is the blue one in the picture below

plus, the ABS module looks for specific signals from the drift brake, as can be seen in the wiring diagrams below

basically, unless money is no object and getting a different Mustang with the drift brake is out of the question, it's not worth it.
This is just a guess,
But,
It appears to be a Pain in the Ass to accomplish this project.
I think it’ll be easier to trade in your car and just get one with everything you want and be done with it.
Just a guess.
This doesn’t represent union or management.

yeah, i can only really imagine someone doing it if they have tons of money and time to burn, have no interest in a warranty, and for some reason are dead set on keeping their current Mustang. the good thing is you can still do the brembos without the drift brake

Wouldn't running 4 piston front and back mess with bias. Been looking at this as an option. May just go with stickier pads. Honestly the difference between 4 and 6 piston brakes is in debate. I had the 6 pistons on my 19 s550 and I like the 4 pistons on my 24 better.

you got me thinking, so i took a look and it seems that all the main connectors have the same amount of used and unused pins with the same usages, maybe it could be re-pinned? in any case, here's some diagrams if you want to try that

as for where to find the diagrams, to my knowledge they cannot be found randomly online
Hi everyone I kinda jumped the gun on buying the drift brake without checking if it is as easy to retrofit as I assumed does anyone have an update on if the connector can be re-pinned

in my opinion: cut your losses. return the parts if you can. not only is the pinning different, but there appears to be different wires entirely going to the different parking brake connectors. unless you want to hack together a half-working solution or swap out the dash wiring harness, its not worth it
