Adding brembo brakes

@AZ_Ryan ..... Aren't the Brembo calipers bigger than OEM to the point where you need 21" rims? I have a 2024 GT that has Mustang Brembo writing on the front calipers but they are NOT the Brembo option. My rims are 20" and I'm pretty sure I'd have to up-size to 21s to add true Brembos.

What are "true" Brembos? Are you saying Ford is using some third world copy with a Brembo logo on it?
Thats going to be a fascinating lawsuit.

Brembo website doesn't show any 2024 or 2025 GT option to buy, so wonder if they are actually making these or FORD putting their name/symbol on bigger brake kits ?

Unless they've given the permission.

There are radio companies that 'farm out' the vehicular version of their brand and allow their name stamped on it; its not unheard of. How many decent home audio brands have fair car audio... many.

Not saying its true, just suspect. Could just be Brembo only sells these to Ford, some special deal.

We have a 2024 GT 401-A etc.
Our GT Mustang came, as a Factory option with Brembo Brakes.
The Factory Wheels are 19in.
You don’t need to upsize downsize either, 19 or 20 inch wheels come stock on Mustang's. With or without Brembo Brakes.

So, just went onto the Ford website to "build your Mustang" it confirmed what my friend told me - according to the site today you can not order the optional five spoke (star shape) rims that I have if you want to order the "Brembo package". The website automatically deletes the five star rim and substitutes another rim. My friend tried to see if his dealer could over ride the website but they could not. He still liked the choice offered by Ford but would have preferred the five spoke "star" design that I had on mine. It may not be a rim diameter question but simply the package Ford has put together. that can not be modified.

The weird thing is that the 6 pot Brembos with 370mm rotor will fit 19" wheels, but my last car with 4 pot brembos and 370mm rotors needed 20" wheels.

Must be an offset issue with those wheels?

@AZ_Ryan ......you could be right. Ford did not offer my friend an explanation., but off set sounds reasonable.
