I'll go back and test drive a PP GT in a few weeks. It's nice! I had only seen the Dark Horse at our local dealer show in Denver in April. I still have yet to see an S650 out on the road. As a '17 Ecoboost owner for over 6 years, the S650 is very familiar. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said in these forums.

The showroom also had a '70 Boss 302, '05 GT and Cobra Roadster kit car.

Ford just nails it when it comes to design don't they? A feature of the s650 I've grown to love to an extreme degree is the new hip treatment. The s550's beltline is linear more or less, pretty flat. Whereas the s650, the hips kick up quite a bit, which serves to make them look even more muscular. This car looks good, even in white, that tells you all you need to know.

Definitely! It has grown on me, too. Since seeing these in person is still not common place here, it was great to get up close to it and sit in it. I do love the familiarity and I do like the changes in the styling overall but the back end has some odd angles I'm still getting used to. The S650 does look sleeker, angular and more modern. I am really glad Ford did spend the money to actually change the side window shapes and not make it an exact carbon copy of the S550. Until yesterday I wasn't totally sure. But, the rear quarter windows are indeed new parts.

Very nice photos, thank you.

I'm looking forward to the S650 arriving in UK showroom, as I always make a point of going to see the latest models and/or new colors. We had a Race Red Dark Horse at our 59th Anniversary event, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the GT (I just prefer the GT's front end).

Dealers here should be getting their demo cars in late Feb/March.

Oh, and as nice as the S650 is, the '70 Boss 302, GT and Cobra are absolutely gorgeous!!

I test drove the S650 today as mentioned before. It was a good experience but I'm afraid to say what I really thought of the car with how brutal people can be here.

A learning experience: To ring in the new year, I test drove a 2024 Mustang GT. In all my years of being a Mustang fan (thirty two years, since I was eight) , I’ve never really driven a V8 one or a V8 in general. The only other V8s I have driven was in a gigantic Ram 2500 truck rental for a day lol and a small 289 1966 Mustang with 200 HP in a parking lot when I was 16 . I was supposed to drive a PP GT coupe but it sold before I had scheduled the drive. So, the dealer let me drive a convertible.
I wanted to see how the “all new”

2024 Mustang really was. It’s very familiar as expected (I know Ford doesn't have the money to do an all new car). The tech is cool. And the styling is fresh which I like but, I like S550 more. It took some time to grow on me. The The dash was fine, it looks like every other modern dash with a screen on it.
What I didn’t expect was not loving the engine. Who knew? Around town, the torque didn't blow my mind like I thought a V8 would. I want more alone time with driving the car. To get used to the engine. Having the dealer rep there, I felt hindered or held back. I want more time with the car to crawl around it and learn it. But, maybe I'll rent one soon. And probably because it was a convertible (top up, it's winter), the exhaust drone was annoying on the highway. I learned a lot. I love my 2017 Maggie. I am not interested in trading in or selling to get a 2024. I appreciate the dealer guy taking his time to let me experience it.

MSRP $59,300
Dealer Discount -$1,200
Dealer Fee$799
Price $58,899

Still only have 500 miles on my DH; however, I am looking forward to actually getting the RPMs into the power band of over 5000. I have tried to stay under 5K during the break in period. Given spending the last 5 years driving a Nissan Rogue (old rental car) the power under 5K RPM is still very fun.

That's great the power is still fun even with the holding back for the break in period.

Yeah if you’re looking for big tq go straight to a GT500 or ZL1, or whipple the GT.

Had a Shelby pull up next to me at the light the other day, we chatted a bit and he was saying keeping the wheels from spinning with the 650 plus HP was a challenge. Was a great looking car and sounded amazing.

For sure! But, I think I was expecting just a huge difference from my Ecoboost while it does have more oomph, it wasn't, like I said, mind blowing.

Yeah, the Ecoboost has more umph at low RPMs as it reaches peak torque much earlier than the Coyote. The Coyote doesn't really get into its own until you get up in the RPMs a bit. It pulls quite well after 4k. Kinda hard to test on test drives unless you are able to wind it out during the test drive.
