I'd suggest the GT Premium with the 401A package like Ryan said. Also get 3.55 gears, I like my 20" wheels....firmer ride.

Then have fun with aftermarket.

I added strut tower brace, rear blackout panel, front splitter rear and side louvers. You can go a lot farther of course, but I had the look I wanted.

Dark Horse IS cool, but for just tooling up and down the road, the GT is just fine for me. and I saved $20K.

That is very nice, I like the louvers a lot. I see Ford has the side window units but I'd like to ask what material they are made from as I've seen aftermarket stuff and I think that can vary. I assume that's just double sided tape holding them on.

Late model C3s had a weird 'bubble back' to provide some actual useful room. I didn't like them until I saw one with a set of rear window louvers and it looked very slick. Sort of channeling the old 70s Cylon Raiders.

Also, if you don't mind: what size rims are those and what size/make tires? If I were to go for the local GT I mentioned I'd prefer to upsize. I had initially thought to get a set like those offered on the Night Pony package but no doubt there are tons of choices. Any impact on the speedo?

Those are nice wheels. I think my 19"s are enough for me, since the condition of the roads around here, even in summer, makes lower-profile tires more of a risk (and sometimes a pain, literally). I do have 20"s on my Telluride, but that's a much bigger setup all the way around. But your set is quite refined-looking.

Can you elaborate? "Ready for a change" usually means that all the possibilities of a particular experience have been explored. "After eating at McDonald's every day for six months, I'm ready for a change!" But it sounds as though the potential of your Mustang hasn't been exhausted, just neglected.
I like change! I'm 80 and I've owned too many cars. I have had four BULLITT Mustangs. My cars are always like new when I sell them. I either spend money on a Mustang or for mental help. I honestly have no idea what my next adventure is at this point. I'm happy to be alive!

I added PP wheels, Air Design spoiler, and strut tower brace to my GT Premium. These cars are pretty easy to upgrade/customize.

I have done a search and have tried to build a couple different ones and on my configurations none offered the puddle lights except the DH, as long as the MRS is OK without them get your GT Premium

Puddle lights are part of the 401A package. Its not exclusive to the DH. I have them on my car as do many others.

You can get them on the GT Premium with 401A. Not a deal breaker but if I order one it’ll have them.

I’m just glad Mrs. Pf likes the Mustang, she’s not too worried about the puddle lights but they served to get her attention and she now likes Mustangs where before she wasn’t really paying attention

My wife has been a passenger in my DH twice and driver once in the 7 months I’ve had it… she’s not a fan of the noise (doesn’t get it) or the ride 😂 and that’s before lowering springs 😬 I even tried driving sedately in normal with quiet mode :shudder:

In 201A also. But as of 2026, not in either 200A or 400A, meaning that the "Premium" trim by itself is not premium enough to include this feature.

As mentioned, 400A and 401A are two different trims. "Premium" refers to the 401A. 400A is just a standard interior with leather seats and shouldn't be confused with Premium.
