Why continue to purchase Motorcraft filter replacements when you could just buy a quality set of dry filters from ThInk Auto Tech, aFe, Steeda, etc. and just rinse them off when they get dirty...?
I haven't "continued" to buy Motorcraft filters. Mine are still good. I'll buy the filters I want at the time but thanks for the insight. 👍

I see pair of these air filters from Steeda and K&N cost like $160 and OEM from Dealership costs $105. However, OEM on Levittown ford (online) costs around $45. Has anyone used Levittown ford before?

Levittown is showing on sale right now for $18.65. Sounds too good to be true but that's what's showing.

IKR.. when asked the Dealership about this he said “they have bigger warehouse with 2000-3000 air filters in stock they can give at cost price but I cannot.. I need to make some margins” that margin was more than double the price lol

Just google the part and lots of places have air filters pretty cheap.

What @Joe_Stang said. I use the Think Autos too; according to published filtration and flow rates they're better than the OEMs, + NO OILING + lifetime or close to it. Saved my OEMs as emergency back ups. NPs with the TAs so far. 👍

Yes I have used @LevittownFordParts with no problems

They are a great forum resource for finding part numbers too

again "flow better" means less filtering

The engine can suck more air in than will ever use via the stock intake and filters.

Same with oil filters, the good ones are sub 10 micron, the "race" ones are 60 plus and have a high bypass rate.

Fuel filters.... 10 micron on the engine side of the pump with a 100 micron pre filter before the pump is the norm....

Cost for one. MC FA-2066, depending on where you shop, costs $18.78 - 28.99 ea. or $57.96 a pair (from Steeda) The others you listed run from $145 to $169 a pair. And I've yet to see any data/testing that shows filters significantly better than MC.

Quality dry filters are worth the investment because they are easy to clean and can last the lifetime of the car. And there is plenty of data online that shows better flow testing if you just google. Plus Motorcraft paper filters don't last too long in my neck of the woods.

Maybe they come with a free bottle of snake oil?

Was researching air filters again and came across this site thought it might be relevant. Thinkauto is my current top contender but im just looking for more options. Also currently just gonna use stock Motorcraft Air Filter FA-2066 till needs to be replaced.
