I think you have it backwards. AS/S defaults to on and the button is not lit up. When you press the button and it lights up, that is turning it off. Keep in mind AS/S doesn't always work, such as the engine isn't warmed up or the heat or A/C needs the engine running.

I don’t know if you’re referring to me but no I don’t have it backwards. Mine defaults to off on every start cold warm or hot. The only time it turns on is if I screw with the button which I don’t do anymore.

I love tree huggers. They actually believe in perpetual motion.
They think that EV's need no maintenance at all.
And that they'll save the planet.
They have Greta in their w âš“ bank.
And take private jets and/or Mustangs to climate change hugfests.

No most of "they" actually dont. Thats just the conservative fun house narrative from inside the bubble. Believe it or not, most people just want to save on gas and not be a slave to the oil industry and its arbitrary pricing. So weird right? Thats why I bought a Hybrid and why most people I know bought theirs. We could give two shits about Greta or our carbon footprint.

We almost bought an EV instead of the Mustang, if only I hadn't rented a convertible on vacation and my wife decided she had to have one. :) I told her if we lived further north and got a lot more snow, we could still get her the EV as well since it's AWD and could be her daily driver except on nice warm days. No oil changes, just rotate tires and check the brakes, never buy gas for her EV, and gets over 100 mpg(e).

It's a bit of a pisstake Ryan. Don't take it personally. Like all pisstakes, there is an element of truth there. We took an Ev Uber recently, and he was raving on about never having to do maintenance on it. Just what I wanted to hear from a cab driver.
We actually thought about an EV years ago for my wife. But the stupid cost of the car, plus home charger meant we would never break even. Then we learnt more about horrendous depreciation, the imposition of mileage tax by the Govt, and were very glad we held off.

You do. Unless you roll it in track mode, maybe sport too I’m not certain.
This is how my son is doing it. Custom mode setting should allow you to disable the ASS system.
