Any OTA updates yet?

Yes been here since 1989, moved from Pittsburgh and never looked back. I love the town and love the weather, even the triple digit temps/humidity. Any time it drops below 60, I'm complaining!

We moved down from Michigan in '76-77. Left in '84. Went back in '95 and it looked nothing like it did before (once gorgeous subdivisions looked borderline ghetto after all the jobs disappeared and the banks rented houses to anybody). Spent a year or so in the Dallas area (Garland/Mesquite) in '86-87, liked it there a lot.

And I have a Lightning in the shop now with a fried gateway module after an OTA.

So primarily the BEVs? I can believe that, but I never heard of an ICE vehicle getting completely BRICKED by a failed OTA.

I'm an EE and I agree. Cars these days are more of a computer on wheels than cars as we remember them. And Ford is one of the better models.

Nice. My Mustang just pulled Software Update 6.1.0 today. Found out through FordPass. I wonder if that's why MyColor and My Profile (driving settings) got reset

Yeah I remember when I bought my 2011 GT I thought there was a crapload of tech in it! HA HA! The 24 tech HOLY SHHHHHH!

I'm gonna jinks myself. I've had 2 OTA updates. I got my car off the lot in January, date of origin was in May. 3600 miles, so far so good. it had 56 miles on it when I drove it home. Enjoying every moment so far.

I work in service at a Ford dealership and its a regular occurrence, way worse with EV's, but not restricted to them.

Not every Power-Up update changes what you see on the Sync4 screen. In fact, over the 3+ years I've had my '21 F150, a majority of them have NOT changed appearance.

I pulled the fuse to disable mine from OTA's, we get cars towed in every week that have been bricked by an OTA.

Just turn off automatic updates ..haven’t updated mine since September ..it asked to accept I always ignore

got my first OTA update, 6.1.0. looks like it does updates to the Gateway Module. also apparently OASIS tells you what modules are updated by an OTA update

Mine shows 23206_PRODUCT

Since I had zero issues so far, and starts up super fast, i disabled the Auto Updates, and will never turn it on, unless its a super concerning safety issue.

i recommend checking out this thread on TSBs, SSMs, and Recalls on the 2024+ Mustangs. the ones built before job 2 have some broken features
