Lock your doors, don't park in shady areas, dont leave crap out in the open in your car, and - most important of all - have a good insurance policy. Bottom line, if they want your car, they will get it. Welcome to 2024.

I worked in my State's Prison System for 26 years. "If" they're Pros, and they want your car they'll likely get it. "Most" are not Pros; and most car thefts (as others have noted) are opportunistic thefts. Excellent basic car security info in Skye's post on page 1 of this thread!

I have added an additional after market sourced layer of auto theft security to my GT. You may also wish to avail yourself of this older but VERY effective system!

I was a LEO for ~10. They don't have to be "pros" to steal your car. Yes, many crimes are opportunity crimes, but if they want your car, they will get it.

I just purchased a 2024 F150 Lariat with the 502A High package and it has this feature I had no idea existed. I wonder if it will be coming to the Mustangs. It also disables the ability to do a factory reset on the car unless you grant permission through the Ford Pass App.

Since the owner's manual is understandably vague regarding the specifics of the Ford anti-theft systems, has anyone tested them? Specifically the sensors triggering on interior movement, jacking up of the car and so forth.
Someone on Youtube or other must have put this to the test?
After learning how trivial it is to steal the Challenger/Charger/Kia/Hyundai cars I'm curious as to where the Ford products sit.

I can confirm jacking up the car will set the alarm off.

Never take a nice Mustang to stupid places like shopping malls or exposed places! I take it to good friends places and hoodlum-free places! I’ll take my ole jeep wherever I go where crazies are! That’s it!
