Is there such a thing as 295/20?

Also, which tire? They are not all the same, as we all know. A 305R30/19 can have vastly different tread width, tire height, and section width even within the same manufacturer, sometimes the same tire in the same size with two different applications, much less between different tires and manufacturers. And those measurements also depend upon the wheel used to take the measurements (TireRack discloses the measuring wheel width in the specs section for each tire and tire size).

As an aside, were you aware that the 315 rear tire from Ford is shorter than the 305 front tire?

Going to look ridiculous and have terrible straight line traction as well

Maybe he meant 295/30?
I would hope so, that would put the tire height at 26.96" which is much closer to the stock tire height.

I’m thinking of going with 295/20’s for my rears. My 305/35/20’s affect my speedometer.
1 Is your speedometer affected?
2 How well do they fit inside the fenders - outside, even, inside?

I just realized we are all missing the point - he is talking about 20 inch wheels, not a 20 aspect ratio.

Presumably he means 295R35/20

He ditched his excellent Dark Horse handling package staggered 10.5 and 11, 19 inch wheels and Trofeo RS tires and put on some aftermarket 20 inch combo with All Seasons. Check out his lengthy post above, and it will all make sense.

I am sure there is some obscure manufacturer that makes them, but a quick search(30 seconds) didn't produce any for me. I was just doing the math based on the numbers provided to determine raw tire height. Another thing that often isn't considered is the sidewall height is often part of the original ride quality.

Speedometer is almost spot on compared to GPS Speedometer on phone.

They sit nearly flush with the fender (50mm offset)

I have a 24 Dark Horse with the handling pkg.
I ended up putting continental extreme contact DWS 06 plus on factory rims size 285/35/19 Front and rear for temperatures below 45 degrees. For warmer temperatures i bought a set of GTD replica wheels and use size 325/30/19 Front and 355/30/19 rear Michelin pilot sport 4s. I think both sets of tires are the best for my needs. I never drive this car in snow.
Your avatar shows the original driver side, front Trofeo RS, though, correct?

@ Junkyard Dog yes, those are the Trofeo's. I replaced them with Contintals after the first week. It's cold here in December and when I was turning in a parking lot at around 3 mph they were skipping sideways.

My bad. I didn’t put the sidewall ratio in my post re: “295/20’s” because it was late, and I couldn’t remember if it was 30 or 35 sidewall that was closest to the original DH HP rear tire diameter. Sorry for the confusion. Made the change to 20’s because I wanted a black wheel instead of Dark Tarnished & all seasons to extend my driving season.
