All Season Tire Recommendations?

I'll say this once again - and I'm not paid by anyone and have zero bias: I've had Michelin ps4s and I've had continental DW06. The Michelins may allow for slightly better lateral grip on the track. However, those contis are downright impressive and are way better than the pirellis IMO, and can't be beat in wet. There is a reason that competitive racers go to conti for wet conditions. I swear by them. Everyone's driving style, conditions, and experience may be a little different, but those tires are (chef's kiss), for the money.

Wife had DW06 on a 325. Definitely better than the Pirellis, but not as go9d as the Pilot Sport line. I hear great things about the 5s, but only avail OEM on new cars ATM.

I'm currently on Michelin 4 A/S, like them and will continue to use them. Continental makes an equally fine offering. I don't think you can go wrong with either A/S.

Thank you to everyone for taking the time to reply to my post and for all the great feedback! I opted to go with the Michelin 4 A/S because they can be installed today and got what I think is a good deal at a local tire store. I also opted to change out the silver/chrome lug nuts that came on the Nite Pony package with black lug nuts. A small detail that I think looks great. Thanks again!

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4…..315/30/20 rear and 275/35/20 front. Fills the fender gap visually without lowering. No rubbing. Rides great. Traction is better than expected coming from the Pirelli. Have had the Pilot Sport 4S on other cars but wanted longer life with better wet capabilities and sacrificed some grip. 25k spirited driving so far and I expect to get another 10-12K. For reference, My Pilot 4S lasted 20k max.

I ran Conti DWS Plus 06s for the 3 years I owned my Focus RS (AWD vs RWD on our GTs & DHs). Wet, dry, 6-7 inches of snow -----those rascals handled it all with no sweat. As @Skye noted above.............I don't think you can go wrong with either the Michelins or Contis. Quite a few of my fellow RS forum members loved the Michelin ASs. Best of luck!

My GT came with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical tires. Except for them being expensive, they’re fine. Good traction in the dry and wet.

The Conti’s are made in the USA. I’m sure the Kenda is a decent tire for the money but they cannot be compared to class leaders like Continental or Michelin.

And you're right, they can't be compared because the Kendas are better objectively in every category. In fact, all of the "off brand" tires I've had performed better than Contis, Mickey Thompsons, Goodyears, etc. It's to the point that I've stopped wasting money on "class leaders" because they're over rated. They don't balance worth a damn, wear just as fast, and the traction isn't better either.

I’m sure Continentals are good. I went with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons. No regrets.

Continental are gread...I don't Hydroplane in the water at highway speed on rainy days. If you do all for at the same time you notice an improvement with ride quality without losing grip.

Related to this topic--looking at the DWS06 vs. the Mich A/S 4 as replacements for OE tires.

If I have gripe with the '25' GT base the suspension is too soft and has too much body roll.
I knew it would be soft when I bought the car, but as the miles have added up it has become more noticeable.
The '16' EB we traded had the same suspension as this car--and it was soft, but when I added Mich A/S 4 tires to it-and had it aligned--the sloppiness really diminished to the point where it wasn't an issue and was fun to drive. By comparison, we have a '14' Boxster S with the sport suspension which we track , so we're used to a car that has a firm/controlled ride.

So, my question is for those that have done the switch to either DWS06 or Mich A/S4 on your base GT, did it clean up the handling enough to avoid changing out the springs and adding the chassis braces? I wonder if the extra 200lb on the front end of the GT needs more than just a tire change to fix it.
