I can't speak in terms of data bc I have done no real testing. Most of the claims out there are anecdotal. From what I understand, advancetrac, or ESP, works based on how it is tuned to the car with it's suspension geometry and tire setup. When any of that changes drastically, it may change how...
To unplug advancetrac (which I do not advise), you open the hood. Look on the right side near the fender and there is a plug that is pigtailed at the end. If you unplug taht, it unplugs advancetrac altogether and it will not intrude. ABS still works, but no advancetrac. Advancetrac has a certain...
The cockpit-like experience of the S650 is like preparing for takeoff each and every time! LOL
IDK, It takes a minute to warm the car up anyway, so I don't mind. The only thing annoying is that the screen can load so slowly so if doing multiple stops that can be rough.
I unplugged advancetrac...
Steeda's testing showed that the S650 responds differently than the 550 did with these h/x and that h actually has slightly better performance. If you look up their Youtube videos they give detailed comparison of the sound so you can hear for yourself. For what it's worth, I like my Steeda x pipe.
Wow, that's a lot. For me, the Mustang is a heavy car that I have no interest in without a V8. The inline 6 is a perfectly balanced engine - with a lot of power if turbocharged! I'd rather just get a BMW at that point. I'd be terribly disappointed without a MT option bc IDK how to drive an auto lol
The car handles great for nealy 4000 lbs. My shop recommends the Eibach springs over Steeda. I trust the shop with everything and so far the Eibach have been great. I love the ride height and the performance has been everything I can handle; still have not found the limit. As far as wheels and...
My S650 has the Steeda Stop The Hop street starter kit, front camber plates, and Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs for mag ride cars. The car is already pretty good so the next thing will be better anti-roll bars and that may be it for suspension. The car also has long tubes, x pipe, aluminum...
Gregs and Hoser had it right. It's a mixture of the EPA European emmissions requirements and cybersecurity. In order to sell cars globablly, Ford has to abide by Euro rules and unless we get US specific software, that is an issue. Also there is the idea that people can hack into the car and...
I have a 2024 GT Premium performance pack mag ride car and had the street starter stop the hop kit instalelled. I also ordered the vertical links but the shop didn't install them. They told me that the performanbce pack car already has the GT 500 vertical links, so I returned the vertical links...
Moral of the story is...stealerships can't be trusted and if you aint got someone you trust to do it for you... If you can't do it yourself...maybe you don't even need strakes.
Oh, NO! Goldenhand - that is so wrong. Sorry you had that experience. I'm in the PNW and can't recommend anyone down there. There are an awful lot of shops out there and some, just like dealerships, are bad. It's so important to try to find a good shop and develop a relationship. I have only one...
I don't want the dealership touching my cars. The strakes are very easy to install. There are Youtube videos out there. Easiest time to do it is when you change the oil. To me it's not just to make sure it's done right; it's a chance to look over the car and check to make sure everything looks...
I did oil pump gears and crank sprocket. Seems like after the gen 1s, you don't hear of many issues but with a MT and raising the rev limiter I would rather just do it. I think if I was auto, I might skip it. Honestly there is probably a bigger risk chucking a rod than opg or breaking a crank...
I've seen some videos on Youtube showing the halfshafts. It looks like the GT 350 half shafts are solid and the regular are actually foam filled! The guys at Lebanon Ford recommended to me that if getting a blower with a MT car, get the performance pack, even just for the 3.73.
It's crazy to...
Yes, launching the car on a tire is a factor I forgot to mention. When using a street tire that spins, it acts as a fuse and protects the drivetrain from damage. With a drag radial or a bias ply tire - anything incredibly sticky - now that means extra shock and no question the shafts, diff, and...
I'd be curious to hear from people who have had the OEM halfshafts or GT 350 halfshafts to hear whether they have broken or not. It obviously depends on what you are using the car for. I doubt I will be launching the car at all, mostly roll racing and some road coarse action so I don't think I...
Geez, this looks like a good deal. I have nearly the same car down to the miles except mine is black with nite pony and it MSRP for over 61k. It's almost depressing to think my car is worth 25% less in under a year. It pays to buy these cars used.
