This is interesting. Would love to see data on that.

See the S197 and S550 in a wind tunnel. They had the tendency to restrict air flow through the grill area at speeds over 100. The new Mustang copied the GT500 and GT350 and properly placed the Extractor behind and above the radiator.

You can see the GT500 easily displaces the positive air pressure in the engine bay and converts it to downforce.
