Indeed, although I've never driven a car with them. Over here in the UK we still tend to STILL call them "wing mirrors" as the fenders are called wings here (I've no idea why though!!).....despite them now being mounted on the doors.

I'm Already Waiting for Something Really Nice!

Let's Just Steal (Steel or Aluminum) This Design for the "NEXT" Mustang!

I'd be Happy With It!

The BMW 8-series is a great looking car, but not as aggressive as S550.....and, hopefully, S650!
My personal thought is that the 8 series looks both better and more aggressive than the S550. I think BMW made the M8 what the S550 wanted to be...
That said, that's my opinion, and I am sure that it will be different from what some other people think and that's a good thing.

It does need homologation yes. At least 250 cars I think sold to public. Biggest questions are:

Will the SLA suspension make it's way to the production car ?

Will the endurance racing-spec 5.0 make it's way to the aftermarket world or ford performance catalog ?
Don't count on the street car sharing much with the race car. They don't have to share that much under current GT3 rules anymore. Consider the Bently GT3 is ~2000 lbs lighter than the street car and the 911 GT3 is mid engined (and wide bodied) while the equivalent street car remains rear engined.

Jeeeeze.....just make the GT3 car, and soften it for the street. A cat here, some crash bars there......

We need all of that performance........
