  1. The Mustang is getting a stable mate once again...

Charger, but the 300C is nice as well
  2. Built-in Navigation?

I agree with that, and paper maps work better than offline maps when incidents are not being reported. A few years ago (maybe just pre-covid, maybe 2022), I was traveling back home and was taking the PA turnpike. There was a tunnel closure that was not reported/being accounted for. Armed with...
  3. Built-in Navigation?

As someone who has had navigation in my cars since 2011, a portable garmin before that, and have tried numerous vehicle manufacturer's versions, not many can compete with Apple or Google maps. The amount of research and development that has gone into them is astounding, as is the way they...
  4. Challenger or S650

There are a number of vehicles with rear wheel steering. Some are used to give better turn radius (I think GM trucks have it?), while others had it to improve responsiveness. Under a certain speed, they turn opposite the fronts, at higher speeds they turn in the same direction to increase...
  5. 24GT - Driving Impression from a noob

The chart is similar to many other charts I found out there. I don't know if people tend to start their pull at higher RPM level, the engine revs fast at those lower levels, or whatnot. I do know that in general, 4v engines tend to make their torque at a higher RPM than their 2V brethren...
  6. Challenger or S650

What kind of car are you looking for. A Charger/Challenger is a full sized car that will actually fit a family of 4, even if all 4 are adults or older teenagers. TRY and squeeze a couple of near 6 foot teenage boys in the back of your Mustang. Go ahead, I can use a laugh. Seriously, they...
  7. 24GT - Driving Impression from a noob

Here is a picture of a Torque/power curve I found comparing Gen 3 and Gen 4, but I find the initial torque curve the most interesting (off of LMR website https://lmr.com/products/2022-mustang-gt-vs-2024-mustang-gt-dyno) Now, I don't know where they started pressing down the accelerator pedal...
  8. 24GT - Driving Impression from a noob

My understanding is 3k and higher. That said, I completely understand your frustrations. My 550i starts making peak torque at 1800 RPM and stays flat until 4750 and only then starts to fall off and my F350 makes peak torque at 1600 RPM. I've driven plenty of Naturally Aspirated V8s in my...
  9. I haven't sold a car before, I'm about to sell my 2018, looking for advice.

Color, model (GT, EcoBoost, Fastback, Convertible, other), What kind of options? Premium pack, performance pack, what kind of radio, cloth, leather, ricaro, standard.... Are the tires new, or old? If you just replaced them recently (last year or so), then you might want to mention them...
  10. Car value shock!!

Markets change. 3-4 years ago, there were chip shortages, massive car shortage, etc. People who needed cars had to wait 6-12 months just to get an allotment they could buy. Manufacturer dealers were competing with buy here/pay here lots for any kind of used car and they would very rarely send...
  11. Car value shock!!

Honestly, I am surprised it has not lost more. It's a Mustang, which is a car some owners love to thrash and then replace either with the same car the next model year, or because they did something to the car. Either way, it's not a special edition like the DH, just a regular GT. Cars...
  12. Factory Orders Odometer Reading

Just remember, there are worse things than someone driving your car a few miles at the start. My car is currently in the shop trying to find a "fuel" issue. They think it's an O2 sensor. They have been doing cold starts and drive cycles on it trying to get the check engine light to come back...
  13. How much of the GT/DH power is actually usable by the everyday driver?

The Supra looks to be a great car for a lot of people....but I don't fit in it (too tall). I tried at the Milwaukee Auto Show, which was better than most that I have been too recently, and I could not find a position where my head was not cocked at 30-40 degrees or my knees were not in my chest.
  14. How much of the GT/DH power is actually usable by the everyday driver?

In the Toyota Cressida I drove (85), even the mild amount of HP that vehicle had was too much. In any amount of precipitation, that car with good new tires on it could break loose if goosed a bit too much. Even a Chevy Celebrity (wagon) from the Mid 80s to 1990 had a habit of breaking loose...
  15. How much of the GT/DH power is actually usable by the everyday driver?

So it sounds like both the GT and the DH are capable of being a DD. I don't do a city commute (WFH) and most of my driving is country lanes or multi-lane freeway, so I am not really worried about traffic killing the mood
  16. How much of the GT/DH power is actually usable by the everyday driver?

Hey all...It's getting to be that point in time again where I am going to start looking at a new vehicle. About me. Mostly highway driving or some surface streets. Some opportunities for running a twisty road, but nothing like they have out in California...but still better twisties than they...
  17. Am I too picky? ….so many flaws on new $70k cars!

BMW also encloses their cars when being transported. They are never transported in open trucks from the factory to the destination dealer. Many other manufacturers do not take that precaution and it shows from the dings they get from road debris.
  18. Am I too picky? ….so many flaws on new $70k cars!

It depends. Scratches are iffy. ideally, it should not have a scratch at all, but it depends on the type of scratch. it is the type that has gone through all the layers of paint down to bare metal, or one that someone rubbed a microfiber cloth the wrong way on the paint and now you can see...
  19. No fog lights on the S650

yep. We don't use them here very much, but there have been times when I could barely see just 50 feet (much less meters) in front of my car. Delaware is VERY foggy, especially in the winter. All that warm water and cold air just screams cloud formation.
  20. No fog lights on the S650

This is exactly the problem. Come out here to Delaware, where a good portion ( 25 percent according to the Delaware State government website) of our state is wetlands/swamp. There are many mornings when my wife leaves for work and you can't see neighbors house, much less the end of the...
