That's not so crazy, in my opinion, considering that a lot of BMW's and Porsche's have a similar gap between trim levels based mostly on engine differences.You think it's worth $10,000 more than the base Ecoboost?
My daily driver is a '25 BMW 330i with a turbo 4 with a MSRP of $46k. The M340i is basically the same car but with a turbo inline 6 and its MSRP is $60k.
Similarly, consider the Porsche 718 cayman with a 2.0L turbo flat 4 with a base MSRP of $74k. If you just want a 2.5L turbo flat 4 (the S model) you're looking at $86k. Upgrade to the GTS 4.0 (not even the RS!) with a flat six and you're looking at $101K MSRP!
