You're missing the whole point and I'm starting to think it's on purpose.

The Camaro isn't being made because they can't make a profit on it. If they could, they would.

That's why Ford raised prices. So they can continue making it.
They also have to sell a certain amount of them. They can't keep raising prices.

If the sales numbers don't pickup, they'll stop making the Mustang too.

Remember the Focus? They sold tons of them. Way more than the Mustang. But Ford no longer wanted to make cars. Boom.

Unfortunately for Ford and Mustang fans everywhere, that strategy doesn’t seem to be working out too well for them, given the title of the thread we’re posting in.
That's why the sales are low, because they raised prices. And economy.

Profit>volume

That's why they raised prices. To make advantageous.

No other car company could keep a muscle car alive. Ford is trying to, and you guys keep whining lol

Nobody is whining. The thread is about the worst sales year in Mustang history and many people are saying it’s because of price. Some people just seem overly defensive. 🤷‍♂️

Compare base vs base obviously. You know that.
Respectfully, no. To be clear...you're talking about the non-HP version of the M1...with a rental car interior and narrow 255/275 tires. But hey, I'll play. Compare it to a 1SS 1LE then. Now it's $10k MORE expensive and will also get absolutely WORKED on a track. Come on man...

I thought they were raising prices because of inflation? Which is it?

Read through the thread. There are men typing in all caps because they're mad at Ford because the price went up lol

Base vs base. That's the only way to compare.

There is no such thing as a “base” ZL1. It’s just “ZL1”. It comes fully loaded. No comparison in content and options compared to a base Mach 1. So for a more apples to apples comparison on overall features you have to compare a fully optioned premium Mach 1, and even then it has fewer options than a ZL1. Things you can’t even get on a Mustang comes on the ZL1 from the factory like forged wheels, heated/cooled electric Recaros, and heads up display, electronic limited slip diff, beefed up transmission, performance traction management, to name a few.
