I ordered mine June 7th. never Even received a vin # yet, Of course I guess it didn’t help that the dealership I went through had the order number down wrong. Just got it straightened out last Monday( At least they changed the priority from 19 to 10) although, that’s not helping
Anyway, I did ford chat again yesterday. All he said was order processed. That really tells me alot
I asked him why there were so many delays and he said there are no delays. I said well it seems really funny that a lot of people I talk to you to have ordered have their cars done and they’re sitting at a ramp. And he said again there are no delays. He’s full of crap, considering a lot of them were supposed of had their cars a month ago. They are all lying. If they have a problem, they need to come out and tell everybody we have this problem and we’re trying to get it fixed before we send any of these cars out, and I think people will be much happier knowing the truth, I would anyway. I would at least be a lot more patient if I had some idea when I would be getting it. If it’s gonna be another year, I’m going to just get one off a lot when they come in.
Ordered Gt June th., and feel same way. Never received anything from Ford.. Told dealer they had me listed 209 in the list of 260 and address in MI. He told me thats where its build. If I could get my deposit back I would cancel it.. Only option was active exhaust. I should have went to Toronto (100 miles from home) and ordered from largest Ford dealer there. Maybe had a Vin at least.

Congrats! Glad to see some of the DH cars moving. I HOPE 9 months is all I have to wait...
I hope you nor me has to wait any 9 mos to get ours. I keep looking online, and if one comes up that is exact,y what I ordered, I may just take it. Not a lot of manual convertibles coming up though. See some have dark horses coming in, but not sure what yours has in it

I'm actually stating I would be happy with 9 months being my total wait. I ordered on March 27, still not scheduled, already has been a 5 month wait for me. Since i have the Handling Package, and they don't build those over the winter, it's starting to look like it's going to be longer than a 12 month wait, but I'm hoping for 8 or 9. I'll probably know by the end of September if I'm getting it before next spring.

didn’t you say you never got a vin either? Did you get your acknowledgment email from ford?

I don't have a VIN, It's a little different for specialty cars like Dark Horse, they are manually allocated. My dealership got 3 for the year. They pulled their first one in June for August build, but could not schedule one with the Handling Package, so my order got skipped. I'm hoping the next allocation can build with the HP, I have no idea when they will get their second allocation. I'm hoping October or November, since they haven't built the HP from December through March historically on the Mach 1, due to temps being to cold for the Cup 2 tires. I assume the Trofeo RS tires will have the same limitation.

I was prepared for the wait after following the Mach 1 sagas from 2021 until now, but it doesn't make it suck less that if I dont get built by December, I'll probably be well over a year from ordering to receiving the car.

My dealer has a race red GT Premium convertible coming in with red interior and bronze package and active exhaust with a manual transmission. Located in NC

Man I'm sorry to hear that. I ordered mine on 04.01.23 in Dallas as well. Its a very similar spec as yours, but its still showing in production. I hope to have it some time in September. They produced my VIN early this month. Also are you apart of any clubs in the DFW. I am thinking about finding one to join.

But, why can’t they build them if they are going to states where it seldom ever gets to freezing?

I'm actually in Texas but not in Dallas. Congrats on your car, not sure about the clubs down in Dallas, but i do plan on checking out Eagle Canyon Raceway there at some point!

I don't know for sure, but I assume it's because temps below 35 will damage the compound on the Michelin Cup 2 tires. They are very very soft track tires. The regular Mach 1 and GT PP don't have this requirement, but you are not even supposed to have the weight of the car on the cup 2s in temps at 35 and below, and they are manufactured at Flat Rock which gets much colder than that in those months. Don't want to ship a track tire that could be dangerous to run at high speeds. Ford even states in the manual not to use the tires below 45 degrees. I am assuming the Trofeo RS will have the same limitation.

Here is some reading about storing competition tires in cold temps
https://www.tirerack.com/upgrade-ga...ck-competition-dot-tires-in-cold-temperatures

Here is a note from the cup 2 page
Note: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires should be stored at temperatures above 32°F (0°C). Below 14°F (-10°C) the tires should not be used, stored, moved or shipped. Lower temperatures can cause the rubber to crack. Cold compound cracking occurs as a result of improper use or storage, and therefore Michelin's warranty will not cover tires exhibiting this condition. Any tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Thanks, but we also got performance package, active e haunt, 401A, but we really want blue. Now if they don’t get me scheduled for October, I will probably find one at a dealer and cancel mine. I wish the dealer would never have messed my order up
