I need to vent in hopes it makes me feel better and/or reaches the right people.
Ford has dropped the ball for customers who trusted in them. I ordered on 3/27, the first day US people could. I trusted Ford and their product without even test driving it. My car has been built since 7/26...
Bad decision, but you do you. I prefer to have my money working for me and earning more than I am paying in interest. Plus a car is a depreciable asset.
My ETA moved from 8/17-8/23 to 8/31-9/6. I will be out of the country when it comes. UGH Ford really should not give us any ETA information. This is just deflating.
The Ford CFO has to be pissed right now.
Added Costs for Ford due to holding so much inventory (feel free to add to my list)
- cost of borrowing due to lower cash flow for the company. (since they are losing their shirt on EV's)
- insuring the vehicles
- loss of sales due to higher interest...
What options did you get and why?
I'll go first:
Ordered: S650 GT Premium 401A, Vapor Blue Metallic, Black Onyx Interior, Nite Pony Package, Performance Pack, 10-Speed Auto, Active Exhaust, Blue Calipers
Why the GT: I want the coyote power and sound
Why the premium: I spend a lot of time in...
Throwing this out there. We all know OKTB has not happened. That aside, could they also be having carrier issues? Ex: carrier negotiations, number of carriers, number of drivers, costs, etc. And could the carrier issues, if any, be hindering OKTB.
Although some hate the ETA threads, I find them interesting. All these ETA dates are starting to align. My dealer just told me my ETA is 8/11 -8/17. Even if it turns out be wrong, it will not be wrong by months. So there is hope.
I never got it on my Camaro and never regretted it. I had it on my C8 and never noticed it. I am not a track guy quite frankly have not seen enough data to get it. Seems like a marketing tool in my opinion. High margin accessory.
I am happy to be proved wrong.
