Listen fellas, i know you might see your hood flutter a little bit when you up 70+mph. But hey, you know when the wife gets to runnin' her hood flutters a lot more than the mustang's if ya know what i mean...

Moral of the story is, think of the hood more as a summer dress fluttering in the summer breeze. :sunglasses: :cwl: and now it don't bother me no more.

This has been an issue since at least the first gen of S550 platform. All of my Mustangs had it. All I had to do was twist the rubber bump stops under the hood to adjust them which pretty much gets rid of the problem.
Last 3 gens that I have owned have had it... I have mentioned this in more of these "hood lift" threads than I can count. For S197 and S650 just a little adjustment of the stops was all that was needed. For the S550, raising the stops enough to stop the flutter put the front of the hood higher than the fenders... so I screwed the stops back in and loosened the bolts on the hood latch and moved it down a bit, then adjusted the stops.

A nice thought... but still a panel alignment issue which can be fixed...

Does anyone have a guide, or the pages from the service manual, on how to adjust for hood fitment? I had a bit of hood wobble with mine and had the dealer correct it, only for them to misalign it worse than before resulting in worse hood wobble at speed…
I adjusted the stoppers and this fixed the alignment, there's still a good 3-4mm of travel in the hood if I press down on it, but I haven't driven highway speeds yet to check for wobble. For anyone else with alignment issues this was super simple to adjust, twist the rubber stopper in or out to adjust (see picture below).

When talking about speeding, I'm not talking about rural area's, dirt roads, farm lands or neighborhoods where children crossing the roads to go to school.

Logically this means the highway where we are allowed to at least drive 70mph, that almost every country has, with multiple lanes and some room to test out your vehicle for a couple of seconds.

Testing your vehicle at speeds like 90mph on a dirt road, in your own street, or areas where a lot of bobrs are crossing the road is not recommended and also not what I meant.

I just thought that every American has experience in driving on highways.
I've had loads of experience being pulled over on highways! Glenn

When I get the all clear from Mr Valentine and Mr Waze.
We have an app called Flitsmeister and I use it for 17 years now. I think it saved me more than 100.000 Euro's of fines 🤣🤣

That thing is the best ever. Even if a cop stands just for 1 minute, it's already on the app and warns you before you reach.
