that one it learns your driving style it's really nice.

Traveling the back roads of North Carolina not only is the auto a joy but the car just is a nice ride.

My third Mustang and this one definitely is the best.

I have the 10r80 in my '17 Raptor and the '24 Dark Horse. The programming is significantly more mature in the Dark Horse, even considering these vehicles are quite different.

I agree, it's quite a bit more advanced than Ford's previous iterations.

After 19000 miles, I'm still having occurrences of lurching on uphill grades as well as booming sounds that accompany the lurches or just go off randomly. The dealer is unable to figure out what's causing the problem, and no help from Ford. I'm getting rid of it one way or another.

are you in sport mode when this happens? lurching or hunting gears will be A LOT less in sport

Thanks - Not in sport mode. That wouldn't stop the booming sounds anyway. I appreciate your input, but I'm not looking for workarounds. I want it fixed. That hasn't happened, so I'm working with the dealer to replace it.

There are quite a few complaints on the 6g forum about the 10-speed. My '19 has been pretty darn good, so maybe I've been lucky. I'm hoping the A10 in the S650 I have on order will be as good or better.

My 2020 Mustang GT premium with all the bells and whistles including the 10 speed auto was a great car in every respect EXCEPT for the 10 speed auto. After multiple trips to the dealer three years and five months of ownership and 13,000 miles, I finally said fu- - this and took it down to the Ford dealer and traded it on a 2024 Mustang GT premium with a 10 speed auto.

To say it was a night and day difference is hugely understating it. Everything in my 2024 on the whole vehicle works perfectly including the tranny. Smooth as glass shifting if you want to drive it like a caddy or if you want to get on it rev matches perfectly going up and down with no heaving and bucking and lurching, clanging and banging with crazy ass sounds.

I really liked my 2020 except for the tranny and now I can say I like everything about the 2024. It’s a great daily driver. It’s the way it should’ve been when they released the S550. Instead it looks like they engaged in “street engineering” with about 80% done right and then threw it out to the public and let them figure it out.
