So here’s the quick rundown, very simplified. My mom owns a 2024 Dark Horse Premium, so she has all the features and everything. I upgraded from 22 base to 26 EB Premium 201 pkg. When you drive her car and once you’re done and you leave, the color stays the same of whatever you choose, so for example, green will stay green after you shut it off, etc. My Mustang will remember the color, but once you turn off the car and open a door, it will go to white. It doesn’t matter what color it remembers, so if I choose green on my Mustang and once I popped the door open and I turned it off, it goes to white, doesn’t matter. How do I disable that? I have the Adriatic Blue Metallic, one of the 28 colors matches the color of my car perfectly, so if we can keep it somehow active, even after the car is off, that would be cool. Does anyone know how to do this through forscan or maybe a setting? And yes it does return back to the recalled color once its back on

It shouldn't do that, unless Ford changed the software; a fact I have not heard about. I have a 2024 EB Premium, and mine doesn't do that. Occasionally, when the software is upgraded it changes color, but that fact has been well documented here.

We also have a 2026 Adriatic Blue, although it's a GT Premium convert. The interior color lighting hasn't changed the past 3 months since my wife set it.

Try setting the driver profile on the door button. I think it locks in the lighting. At the least it's something to try.

You mean assigning the key to each driver? Dont have that option since doesnt have the 202pkg with enhanced driver seat memory

custom colors and ambient lighting get reset when the module resets. That happens when there is a pushed software upgrade, possibly when you have low battery, and sometimes it just resets on its own - think microsoft blue screen of death.

The color should be retained. If it's as you describe, you should be able to easily replicate at the service department.

smurfslayer has a good point...meaning, in general, if your battery isn't in optimal shape, people here report all kinds of random electronic behavior.

Without starting a debate, I personally use a battery tender regularly to keep the battery in top charge condition, which also helps the car take OTA updates when issued.

If you're talking about the ambient lighting (in the footwells and inside the door handles), mine does that too. I have mine set to red; when I turn the car off and open the door, it changes to a white(-ish) color, but my doorsill logos remain red. When I turn the car back on, it goes back to red like I set. Now, when it randomly decides to totally reset, everything goes back to factory settings, but that's not too often. I guess no two Mustangs are the same...
