Before you sell, try to contact your lender, they may be willing to defer your payments for 2-3 months, so you can find another job.
Thanks for the overwhelming support guys.I'm sorry to read that. That sucks. The message reads wonderfully calm given the circumstances. Maybe acceptance rather than calm.
Regarding contacting the lender, that was an option. But with the equity we're getting out of the TRX and the Mustang, I should be able to buy a one to two year old non-TRX 1/2 ton truck outright, and we (my wife and I) think thats the best option in case the job search takes forever. It'll also be nice to be debt free (except for the mortgage), which we've never been before, so we're going to try it.
Yes, I am honestly feeling more relief than anything. First, the entire building was upset I was the one that was cut, which was nice to see how many people had my back. Second, as this relief/calm isn't going away, I am wondering if I didn't like the job as much as I thought I did.
