The recall on my GT has already been completed, with revision and sealed, I think that they did it good. They took a long time to do the work, but , "here", all workshops and all jobs take a long time.

It's funny - I just bought a 2025 GT leftover that had the dealer "fix" this, and somehow my windshield has developed a crack starting at the right bottom corner...

So hold up....now they only inspect? What if you have a Mustang like mine that hasn't seen rain since I took delivery? There would be no noticed water intrusion, correct? So then the recall could get signed off, but there is still a potential issue.

That’s not what they “inspect”.
There is a whole procedure to see if water gets through / trapped - if it’s not performed it’s because it’s not needed- NOT because there isn’t corrosion detected.

I thought the water test was only after they use the sealant?

Ahhh...ok. Still haven't had mine done. The repair looks awful from what some have posted, and I don't have any decent dealers in my area that I trust with my baby. Maybe I can have Gaston Ford check it out right before Mustang Week in Charlotte.

So.......if they pry up your windshield and it doesn't crack but a few weeks down the road it does.....who's fault?
Pretty sure that's happening to me. At 560 miles I have a mysterious crack starting in the lower passenger corner. Waiting to hear if the 12-month glass warranty will cover it.

That sucks and is one of the reasons I'm not doing mine for at least a few more months! Glenn

Anyone had issues with the windshield wipers after having this recall work done?

The first time I was out in the rain after having the work done, the driver's side wiper wouldn't wipe the entire windshield. First swipe it went over only 75%, second swipe about 50%, third swipe, it actually got stuck on the other wiper.

I'm guessing that they had to take the wipers off to do whatever they did for the recall, and didn't put them back on properly.

Anyone have any advice on how to fix this myself? This was not on my February bingo card. I seriously don't have time for this right now.

Edit: Welp, I did what any frustrated woman would do, and I grabbed a wrench and fixed it. Crisis averted! I will have them look at it next time I'm at the dealer though, in case it needs adjusting to be working perfectly, but for now, at least the wiper goes all the way across the damn windshield.

I've been feeling a bit nervous to have the recall work done. There aren't a lot of Ford dealerships in my neck of the woods and they've been hit or miss on work they've performed on my cars over the years. My windshield is already a magnet for rocks, I'd hate to end up with a crack from the recall repairs.

I don't know how they'd crack it. Trying to apply sealer with a hammer? I can't even see where they've been.
