Hey gang, new '25 owner here, GT with the Brembos. I came out of a S550 GT with base brakes. It had a great pedal feel and was really easy to modulate and drive smoothly at parking-lot speeds. This new car, not so much. It's got a lot of mush at the top of the pedal and kinda grabby once it...
This is 100% correct. These cars are not for everyone and they figure it out quickly. It seems like a great idea until it's not. It's not an S650-only phenomenon. I've been seeing this for years. I;ve always told people who admire my Mustangs that you have to really love them to live with them.
I also just came out of a S550 and...have some thoughts. New car (4th Mustang) is a '25 GT 401a, 3.55, convertible 10A, 20", Brembo, non-PP, no active exhaust. Shadow Black.
I had a 2015 GT convertible 6A, with a 3.15 rear and 20" wheels. The 10R80 + 3.55 is a HUGE upgrade over that 6-speed...

It's funny - I just bought a 2025 GT leftover that had the dealer "fix" this, and somehow my windshield has developed a crack starting at the right bottom corner...
That is a really cool color combo, and the belts set it off perfectly. Beautiful car.
FWIW my '25 convertible 401A has the homelink, lighted sills, and the sunglass tray. The lower console trim doesn't have the stitching like the '24 does. I didn't know Ford has slowly been decontenting.
I also had a S550 (2015 Gt Vert) and recently got a '25. I had the 6-speed auto and the 3.15 rear, so the 10R80 with 3.55 is a major improvement regardless of the tune. I'm really happy with the responsiveness and how fast the paddles respond. The '15 was much more sluggish around town by...
