Yes and no. As fa as I'm told Shelby is (god, using that name and knowing it’s no longer Ford Performance and Shelby working together but rather some money grabbing heirs is so distasteful) buying DarkHorse SC cars and then modifies those cars. That’s why you almost never see them on a lot and why they are so much more expensive than the donor car…

I’ll bet that Shelby will use the GT500 name as it would generate the most buzz and most ‘journalists’ can’t tell the difference between the company and its non-Shelby American predecessor.

Another 5.0 super charged that they are charging 220k for. Honestly with how Shelby American has been lately I am happy Ford is stepping away from them.

Yep. This is why I've said Ford's smart for ditching Shelby for Multimatic. Your options are a company that does the most basic half-assed shit, or the world leaders for the most innovative and badass performance cars. Ford made the right call.
