FedEx is to blame. Received a set of R357 wheels last week with a few chips and scratches across the four. Customer service is always great they immediately sent a new set and the second arrived in about the same condition. Why does fedex have to treat packages like gigantic footballs. 😢 I will be making the drive to pick them up personally.

Yes. Both times they are packaged beautifully. But both sets have arrived with chips on either the wheel face or the rear lip and noticeable scratches.
Are the wheels boxed individually with HD cardboard inside (top / sides)?

Is it possible shipper is wanting FedEx to pay for the damage and shipping garbage? Most time they should be in plastic bags. Someone might not have pulled them out for inspection from the bags. Looking at the images I don't see that happening if they had cardboard around them. If the outside box was in good condition that's on the vendor.

Dang! That sucks; sorry you've had such bad luck!

I bought my SVE R355/Nitto triple 5 package from LMR. NPs with any of the 4 wheels.

If the boxes and internal round card board protector discs, etc aren't damaged....................I agree with @dusman59 ; sounds like a vendor/storage/handling issue.

Good luck!

They told me for the first one they did make a claim. 2 large boxes with 2 wheels in each both sets they didn’t arrive in bad condition and the boxes inside are unscathed. With a rim protector cardboard boxes inside felt lining on top of the rim. I point my fingers at FedEx more than anything. I have a four hr drive to their facility to pick them up myself. It will be worth it. Two back to back orders of damaged wheels is concerning.

I considered getting their wheels and tires to match but I already have tires on hand just need the wheels. Luckily for me they are only about 4 hrs away.

this 100% looks like a packaging issue. Shippers are going to sometimes not treat boxes the best, but regardless that damage looks like something that could have been prevented with some padding surrounding the most vulnerable points. Unless, they shipped them like that? . One time, I would call it a fluke, but twice? I'm thinking packaging.

My Steeda wheels had one chip on the back lip. Not enough for me to complain since you'll never see it and they're sacrificial wheels for winter but they only put foam around the lip on the outer side of the wheel. It would probably be worth foaming both sides if any reps are reading this.

Don't get me started about FedEx. I watched a FedEx driver drop a Husky cabinet (bought from HD) off the truck and proceeded to place it at my garage door like nothing happened. I challenged him and was told I needed to call HD to schedule a return. SERIOUSLY!? This wasn't my first bad experience.

my fedex driver is also horrible. my oil supplier ships FedEx now and i swear he just rolls pony drums out the back door. not sure how they haven't blown one up. I agree with others though on packing. the boxes would have to be pretty beat up like wheel edges exposed to cause that. sad because i've been contemplating a set of dhp1 wheels when its time for bigger tires

I would hate to point the finger at LMR they have been great. If it were me I would over package them. Once it leaves their hands and FedEx gets their hands on it. No telling what it goes through.
