Granger is outside of Des Moines, I know the spot. It's roughly 4 1/2 hour drive from me. I wouldn't expect delivery to be a grand, but maybe I'm wrong.
I grew up in Des Moines, that should be good for another couple grand. š
Thanks for the tip. I'm hoping to apply the X-plan discount in 90 days to any Ford and/or dealer discount. It's my understanding that some dealers will allow the Ford X-plan discount which is around 4% on top of existing advertised discounts. That is the type of incentive that would take me off...
It's like any insurance, a waist of money until it's not. Hell, if an extended warranty covers that crazy dash iPad, and it needed replacement after the warranty, that alone could make the insurance worth it. Just one of many things. No idea what it covers.
EDIT: And yes, possible mods. Still...
This is great information. Something I wasn't aware of. Though the timing of purchase and exactly what I will purchase is unknown at this moment, it sounds like I should apply for a membership ASAP. Start the 90-day clock knowing that a purchase is just a matter of time. Any fault in my...
When I asked a dealer about that, he said that a discount from MSRP isn't a guarantee since discounts are based on date of delivery. If there are no Ford incentives at that time, I would be forced to pay MSRP or cancel my order. I'm a rookie at this having never ordered a new car -- the process...
Since my first GT purchase is still pending the right deal, I have not heard the tick. Something noticable with the hood closed -- OR -- masked by the exhaust till the hood is opened? Just curious.
Hopefully Detroit is listening. Though not difficult, WHY in 2025 should buyers be forced to settle to a breaking point? Dealers don't care and not everyone is secure in their abilities. I'm hoping 2026 is a turning point for the s650 as it relates to quality control.
Though Iāve had some concerns, Iām truly thankful the Mustang is still here carrying on a heritage that stretches back to the ā60s. In a segment where so many cars have disappeared, itās great to see this one alive and evolving. Coming from Chevy roots, Iām excited to join the Mustang community...
Don't get me started about FedEx. I watched a FedEx driver drop a Husky cabinet (bought from HD) off the truck and proceeded to place it at my garage door like nothing happened. I challenged him and was told I needed to call HD to schedule a return. SERIOUSLY!? This wasn't my first bad experience.
Performance may outweigh the little rattles and buzzes, but itās frustrating that buyers are still held hostage to Fordās quality control issues. The Mustang might be the ālast man standingā in its segment, but that doesnāt excuse Ford from its responsibility to the loyal Mustang community...
Thanks guys. Just a mild curiosity knowing that the cars are driven hard.
Before selling my 56, I couldn't claim the same. Something was always leaking.
