PP wheels with 295/40 tires

Hello guys, I'm new here and I have a GT base. I installed PP wheels in place of the original 18" ones and I intend to install Eibach Pro kit . I'd like to know if anyone has tried larger tires on these wheels instead of using 1" spacers. Honestly, I don't feel very comfortable using spacers, but I really like these wheels, but I'd like a better fitment. If you have these wheels with larger tires and could post a photo here, I'd appreciate it.

Are they 9.5" wide?

A 295 would fit but you're better off with a 275
