I've had good snows on all of them; Blizzaks on the Formula and Z 28, and Vredesteins on my GT. The Formula and GT were/are automatics and the Z was a manual. No problems driving any of them in snow; my biggest concern is snow depth/ground clearance. Always run snows that are narrower than your summer tires, and make sure they're properly inflated (bit on the hard side to ensure they bite down through the snow to the pavement). A little extra weight in the trunk doesn't hurt; and be sure to use the traction control God gave us (on the end of our right legs).

Picked my car up from having LTH's installed and took it to the slopes. Don't recommend Nitto G2's in freezing weather 😂. Everyone in the parking lot loved it though

Decades in Chicago teaches you that, or at least some people. Also, starting a 4-speed automatic in 2nd gear helped. Only bad problems I had were snow too deep, and one time a small icy hill in town when the cops were spacing out drivers to get a running start up and over and then keep going on the down side to get out of the way of the next guy.

Now that I'm in southern AZ, the problem cases are wet oily roads after a long dry spell or frozen bridges on a winter morning, but the same cautions apply.

I should have snapped a pic of my car the other day after I drove in our first snow of the year. The dried salt/road scum was so thick on it afterwards that my car was grey and it took two washes and some additional hand cleaning to get it clean.

I daily drove my S197 through five winters and I just made sure to wash it religiously every time the temps were warm enough and I never had any issues with rust. As far as winter driving, I never really had issues with that either but there were a few times where nobody in any car including me had any traction. One particular pucker moment, on the way to work one morning on snow/ice, I came over the top of a steep hill and saw a few cars ahead of me sliding down the hill out of control. I slowed down to a crawl but the same happened to me, the car slid halfway down the hill on ice with zero control until I managed to regain traction on snow and slow down before I crashed. Let me tell you, a few seconds of your car being totally out of control sliding down a hill towards an intersection with buildings on the other side wakes you up at 7:30am. I’m sure by the end of rush hour that morning there had to have been a few crashes in that spot.
I had to daily drive my 2006 Mustang GT four four years I hated driving it in the winter. I bought a daily driver. Then I made garage space and parked inside a heated garage until now still have it. It got modified over the years and now looks awesome and has just over 100,000 kilometer's on it. Now I'm old and retired and My 2024 Dark Horse HP sit's beside it and only goes out in the sun. I'm truly blessed.

No pictures sorry

Just wanted to share a positive experience driving mine in the winter. I've driven a few RWD cars in the winter, All BMW's. I never had that great of an experience with them, and was often fighting the TC just to get the car to move, or having it cut throttle in the middle of turning while I'm still in control of the car.

Today I drove on some new Continentals and was pretty happy. They're still greasy from being brand new, but the car was very predictable. The back end stepped out a LOT but it was expected and the rear diff/TC worked to keep the car going straight. The throttle cut was appropriate and let me continue building speed instead of just giving up outright.

I tried to get myself in some low speed trouble (lots of steering input in a corner with some gas) and the car let me slide a predictable amount, about as much fun as I thought it would let me have, without getting uncontrollable.

Also when I did floor it and it started to go sideways, a predictable amount of counter steer kept the car going straight.

For a 700+hp V8 with gobs of torque off idle, it worked very well. I wasn't sure how everything would play with the whipple, but it seems to work, somehow.

I'm by no means a prostar race car driver, but I felt very comfortable having a bit of fun.

Tonight it's -5C / 23f, tomorrow its -25c / -13f. plenty of snow and the asphalt is covered in ice in a lot of places. A reasonable challenge for any set of winter tires.

I drove my S650 in the snow for the first time last week, so far it wasn't that bad. I am glad that I decided to pick up a dedicated snow tire and wheel package vs just switching out the P-Zero summer tires for all-seasons. I still might throw some ballast in the boot to get a bit more initial grip.
Yeah, threw the P-zeros around on the snow a little yesterday, very fun but also completely not suited for it. -18C here on the east coast.

Absolutely getting winter tires next season for the Mustang.

I've never found a need to put "ballast" in the trunk after MANY years of driving in the snow. Besides, that extra weight means 2 things -- longer stopping distance in an already compromised environment, and if you do have an accident that weight isn't static and sitting there but can come through the folding rear seat and is now aimed squarely at YOU but your body and head will conveniently stop it.

Got up to a blizzard this morning. Only had to drive to my office 5 miles away instead of the other office which is 25 miles away today.

Lets see some pics of those who aren't scared to drive their beauty's in the Winter.
I don't have to go out in the snow or slop but if it's dry, why not enjoy the car I got year round for my mental wellness. Keeping it in the garage would depress me. 3rd Mustang in 11 years that I drive year round in Chicago. I've learned a good fat all-season setup for winter is perfect if you aren't in the snow. and still want good handling.
And a nice Flex tune lets me switch to 93 for winter cold if it does sit a week or 2 in the garage.
Lets see some Pics!

Very nice ride you have! It is nice to see people driving them a little in the Winter! Just have to know how to handle it in situations :)
