I have yet to see a definitive yes or no on this subject. The only thing that seems to be agreed on is ANC on convertibles and sound enhancement on the Ecoboost, to make the 4 banger sound sweeter.

having either on a GT coupe doesn't make sense.

That said, the cabin noise in my GT is eerily quiet and has that vague feel that I get when I have noise cancelling headphones on, so I can't say anything for sure.
Ese (on the GT) is referred to in the order guide as well... you did read the order guide before ordering didn't you? 🤣

Ok , so I messaged Ford directly , and they said the same thing others have said , I will need Forscan to disable the ESE. They recommended I go through a Ford service department .

If they have the Forscan program they can.
Thank you.
My car is going in for a software update (recall) next week, I will ask them to disable that ESE.

I didn't order mine..it was just sitting there on the lot fresh off the trailer with only 4 miles on it.

My mind is still boggled they feel they had to enhance the sound of a 5.0 V8.

and who are these friggin people who told Ford they would rather fiddle with clumsy screen icons to work the A/C rather than adjust a knob and not have to take their eyes off the road?

I hate when designers feel they have to design a car by committee. Common sense is rarely presented.

I don't understand either the need to enhance the V8 sounds, I would like to have a conversation with the person who decided that. 😆

And I agree on the A/C controls on the screen, very distracting when driving. Unfortunately a lot of modern cars are going down the path of digitalise everything; sometimes managing the functions on the screen is more distracting than using a mobile phone. You need to pull over or wait for a red traffic light to adjust the A/C or other things.

I feel the same , no reason to enhance the sound . and the touch screens are a pain in the ass .

Remote rev is to hear the exhaust outside the car, so you are saying the enhancement is BS or.....I'm just confused what you are saying is BS.

The procedure just states the exhaust goes into track mode in remote rev for maximum giggles.

If it is an enhancement it should be easy to record/capture. In a coupe calling it noise cancellation makes it sound like a bucket of bolts but for a convertible it makes sense. Is ese in a coupe speaker produced engine sound, as in does it also follow the various exhaust modes (if so equipped) or is it just a stock sound which would be even more apparent with any exhaust modification? Can’t one simply unplug the speakers in order to determine if it’s using the stereo? Do only those with the sub get the feature, which would make it even more obvious.

I talked to Ford, and they confirmed . I also talked to a ford dealership and they can disable it using Forscan.
