What do we think about the hood graphics?

Perhaps it's because my car is gray with gray graphics, but they don't pop at all, I really don't care for the matte look, and I figure the sooner I take them off, the less likely that the paint will fade at different rates.

However, it is a special car and the graphics are a big part of that. I don't want to ruin that either.

So what do we think? Have many (any) people have taken them off? Does it then just look like an ordinary Mustang? If you were looking to buy a used DH, would it affect your decision if the graphics were gone?

This is a 600A DH, no appearance package.

Its one of those things where I think it looks great, but removing it looks good in a different way, if not better.

S197 GT500's had those stripes that looked absolutely spectacular when matched with the factory wheels and bodykit. However, I occasionally see a GT500 listed without the stripes, and it looks gorgeous.

Every car I owned that had stripes, GFX, and the Screaming Chicken on my Sammy Hagar signature edition  '84 Trans Am all had tragic non fire arms related accidents. Leaving them in the monochrome condition the Good Lord intended them to be in.

If it were my car, I'd have a shop pull them. You're right...they just dull the hood.
I'm with Starship on this one. Never will my car have hood graphics. The car either looks good without them, or it doesn't look good. Just another opinion.

Looks terrible on gray or black darkhorses. take em off.
Looks great on red and grabber blue.

like another member mentioned - if you go to sell it, theres a good chance a future buyer would be disappointed it doesnt have the distinct darkhorse identifying vinyl features. definitely something to consider

If I wanted stripes, etc. they would need to be painted.

I like the plain, clean look.

I agree it does look cleaner, its also why I took off my black and grey base dark horse wing and got a body colored gt pp wing. Looks super clean and mature. Its in the shop right now getting my mirrors painted body color, and my wheels painted gloss black. The only grey is going to be on the front bumper.
