I recently bought a new DH, brand new off the lot. But few months later I notice my e brake screw looked tampered with I guess that holds the cover, I asked the dealer about this but he denying that anyone tampered with it. The screw looks striped and not only that it not even sitting flushed like the screw next to it. It’s not a big deal but now that I notice it, it bother me. I really don’t want to mess with it as it’s striped. Could it be a possible factory defect ?

I have a similar issue with a passenger window scratch that the dealer missed at delivery now Ford won't cover it because they think I did it. What a bunch of BS.

How long was it between delivery and you notifying them of the scratch?

Of course they are.
Why am I not surprised they don't want to help you.
If there isn't money to be made, they are never motivated to assist the customer.
You can't expect a dealership to foot the bill for something that wasn't brought up to them until MANY MONTHS after they delivered a vehicle. That's just ridiculous.
