Well, in fairness, I would still like to know how far out of shape Track Mode will allow me to get as compared to Sport Mode, as I would hate to find out this information for the first time on a 90 mph downhill turn. Basically, I would just like to know what ECS does in each mode.
Dude, just get out there and try it. You’ll find out quickly enough. Start off slower and increase speed incrementally and it won’t bite you.

Sounds like you need a track day.
For sure!

So many times now, I find a relatively stable incline, horizontal or very slightly inclined upward, and drive in Track Mode at a specific, stable miles per hour velocity. While maintaining that same velocity, I switch to Sport Mode. 100% of the time, with my foot staying as stable on the pedal as possible, the car sped up by 2-3 mph.

Sport Mode has a much more aggressive throttle input at low throttle inputs, such as when barely pressing the throttle. In fact, this explains why it is so very difficult for me to maintain my speed under the speed limit while driving around in Sport. Very little pushing of the throttle, like barely cracking it open, accelerates the car. It is easier to maintain my speed in Track Mode and in Normal Mode than when driving around in Sport mode. I imagine this is a little bit of marketing by Ford. Buyers who would be attracted to Sport Mode for normal driving are going to feel like the car has more power and torque, and they will be fulfilled.

This also explains why my instructor on track day kept repeating "gentle on the throttle" as I was driving out of turns. Yes, I am a little aggressive, but I was trying to listen to his instructions carefully and do as I was told (I was lucky to have an extremely experienced and effective instructor who improved my driving more in one day than I thought would have been possible), so I thought I was being gentle. The Sport Mode on a road course makes controlling the throttle in turns more difficult. I will try Track Mode next time (and hope for the best on the reduced electronic stability control).

Trying the same experiment switching from Sport Mode to Track Mode did not result in increased speed but I have not performed the test enough times to reliably conclude that it maintains or reduces speed (it is tough to find places with a stable incline and low traffic so as not to interfere with my stable pedal input). I can confirm that Sport to Track never increases the speed, though, whereas Track to Sport always increases the speed of the car.

Had to smile when I saw your member "name" Junkyard Dog... That was my C.B. Radio "Handle"
back in the mid 70's when everybody had a CB . I was in Auto Wrecking yard business for 32 yrs
so it seemed appropriate especially some guy {DEAD NOW} Jim Croce ? not sure of spelling had a song out "Big Bad Leroy Brown " "GOOGLE IT " . Anyway the "Name stuck to me way after CB's
died off . A friend" used it to open a auto parts hotline on the internet when it came out and became a millionaire using it as a name for his company . Then everybody used different spelling of it . I tweaked it a bit and came up with what you see now , crude but it works .. interesting posts you put out , enjoy the site , just get your "ignore " button ready for all the jerks .! I played with track a couple of times in the last week. It's an aggressive bugger, isn't it?
The downshifts are awesome, but a little jerky at lower speeds. I really like the throttle feel too.
I'm going to try it on the twisty's over the ranges going out of town.

I do not need to Google it, lol, I am old enough to have listened to Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown on the AM radio as a child, when it was a new song, riding in the car with my parents.

I also have it on a CD now . . . where are my CDs?

I have a 2024 Dark Horse. I absolutely love it. Wife loves it, my kids love it. Can't go to the service station without being asked if I'd mind if they take a picture of the car. The response that you're talking about, simply don't exist with my DH. Here's a picture. Post a picture of yours.

I had an Aussie Naval Officer come up to me yesterday and ask if mine was a Dark Horse.
I said it was a GT PP with all the horsies it was supposed to have. I like winding Aussies up.
Said he'd just done a group drive in Mustangs in the hills near Tokyo of all places.
Showed me a pic of his lightly modded '64, which was super sharp.
Mustang owners are a lot like bikers, the'll talk to anyone in the tribe.

Awt:
Is that really you and your car. That's cool.
Funny thing, when my DH is in motion it's so fast the camera's can't catch it. I think it's the Whipple, not having all the bugs worked out yet.
