I bought it. Well worth it for a decade of coverage. Go for the longest year/mileage combo you are comfortable with. It'll be worth it. I did 10 yr/60k mi @ $0 deduct. for my summer-only GT for $1,525 all in with every option except key fob replacement (I got a guy for that).

How much did one of these warranties actually save you guys on your previous cars? Or was it just good peace of mind? Real numbers please.

$1525 is all it cost for 10 years, 60,000 miles? That sounds pretty reasonable.

My third party contract on my 2008 CTS cost $3,517 on 10/15/07 for 96 mo / 120k miles through GE Auto Warranty Services with a $50 deductible. I paid $43k for the car. The Mustang is nearly $20k more expensive and the warranty price is less than half (granted - mileage variance, but still).

I can't tell you what it cost to replace all the parts(and labor) but I still came out ahead I'm sure. It's apples and oranges, but if real life numbers is what you need, check out a small portion of my service history below.

I don't usually recommend warranties, but the technology in the car and what Granger is willing to sell it for, why not protect the investment for 2.5% more? Look at what they want for warranties in consumer electronics, warranties of 20% of the retail price or more are common.

If you're still on the fence, then I guess it's not for you!

I thought so. Check out their website to see what option makes sense for you. I went with a $0 deductible because I figured I'd be in the shop at least 4 times over 10 years to break even. Higher deductibles will save you more. The prices below do not include day 1 rental, enhanced rental ($60 cap instead of $40 per day), key fob replacement, or lighting. I added all but key fob replacement to go from $1,410 to $1,525. Add $100 if you plan on losing/breaking your key.

Can I purchase this warranty for car purchased in Canada? If yes, please let me know what's the process. It doesn't allow me to select Canada in that website.
If you find a dealer in Canada willing to do the same kind of deals, let me know, i'm looking too!

Wow, these prices are surprisingly cheap. Iā€™m a firm believer in never buying extended warranties, but at these prices I might bite!

I always stayed away from extended warranties, but with all the electronics in cars now my last 3 vehicles (2 Fords 1 Subaru) have had exte warranties from the manufacturer. Granger is good, Lombard Ford is good. Subaru irritated the heck out of me. A dealer cannot sell an extended warranty to a vehicle that is not in the same state as the purchaser.
