Love these guys. I cannot believe the Nissan's fuel starvation issue. Unsat at half the price, but for its asking price, it's mind boggling how it made it to production!
It would be interesting if they put the DH wheels and tires onto a GT PP with magneride. I’d be curious to know just how let down the PP is with its current wheel/tire setup.
I agree, the dealerships actually drove me away last year. I had just randomly stopped in to the local dealer and they offered a straight forward deal at a markup I was okay with. It really is a shame they are limiting production on these cars! I wish the purchase process could be more like...
I was able to get it for $4500 over MSRP. I honestly couldn’t believe the deal I got. (Dealers still asking for 10-20k markups) Total before tax was around 50.9, which was just slightly cheaper than my GT I spec’d (w/ X-Plan) Very happy with it so far. Handling is ridiculously sharp. Midrange...
My local dealer had 7 new mustangs in. They looked fantastic and the salesman walked the lot with me to show each car. Looked great in all colors. I really liked how the GT PP looked.
I was able to test drive a base GT, 6 spd with AVE. That stock exhaust in track mode is fantastic! I...
Looks great! I’m seriously contemplating canceling my GT order and ordering a base DH, 6 speed. The fact it’s track ready, with the coolers and testing out of the box is very enticing.
So I currently have a GT 301A, 6 speed with PP, AE on order. With X plan it’s about 51.5k
I want to do a few track days a year. If I can get a base DH for MSRP (62k) that would be a 10k price delta.
I really like that the DH comes with coolers and Tremec. However the base DH still has...
Might as well. That 2nd dealer probably actually hopes that you do end up cancelling. That order doesn't count against their books, so it would be like them getting an additional car on the lot.
It all boils down to one thing, there is no perfect car. It would've been awesome to have the visibility, sound, power and comfort of the Mustang with the stock track performance and price tag of a SS 1LE - but that's not the world we live in.
I like that the GT is a solid, comfortable ride that's a great DD. If you want to track it, the aftermarket support is awesome, and with a few mods you can have a track weapon.
No surprises here. The GT even with the PP is vastly under tired. The SS 1LE comes with better tires (Eagle F1 Supercar) and wider 285/305. It would be nice if the PP came with a better tire/wheel setup, but that is something easily fixed. You can't easily fix the claustrophobic Camaro cabin.
I love the thorough testing you guys did! Sounds like you put some serious track miles on the car. Did you run into any overheating or clutch issues like a different vendor on here?
