Ford Performance Tune for the 2024+?

I'd guess around 20hp. FP and 5star s550 tunes are 19hp @6500, 42lb/ft at 2000, and 18lb/ft at 4500. Plus better throttle response and more aggressive shift points. It will put regular GT over 100hp per litre, over 500 total, and more than dark horse

THIS!!! And correct in the HP totals. The additional ~20HP will propel the GT (with AE) over a “Stock” DH landing at ~506 HP per Ford and Non-AE GT’s will land right at a “Stock” DH rating of ~500 HP.

However .. if the DH Owners also apply the FP Tune, it will catapult them to ~520 HP respectively. But this will be a Win for all owners overall.

On the street, it's not the 20hp at high rpm that you will feel but the possibility of ~40 ft lbs of torque at low rpm that will be most notable and usable. Then there's the trans tuning for those of us with A10s. Of course that's for those of us that are not going to do other mods.

$800 for 20 HP and some torque from the aftermarket tunes that were talked about today.

One of the guys quoted in a Hot Rod piece said " Lund and Cook were quick to point out that there isn’t a lot to be gained in naturally aspirated trim when running pump gasoline. They told us Ford delivers the new Mustangs with aggressive calibrations from the factory "

From what I am seeing in other posts here the big benefit is transmission related, a new better calibration.

I'm still holding out to see what Ford releases and at what point

If you are doing cold air intakes, turbo's, pro-chargers, etc the ability to tune is huge.

For us running stock .... ehhhh

I've long suspected the factory tune was pretty aggressive. I think a Ford tune giving A 20hp add with the factory air boxes might be a little unrealistic. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Livernois only got 15hp out of a GT tune

We should see some small gains as time goes on

But this will also show how good some tuners are now that they have to start from scratch and not other tuners files that have been copied and passed around for years

Yea, it wouldn't really be fair to compare two different fuels and claim the gain is 'from the tune'

Yeah but the DH have different intakes too. Considering they both have similar airboxes and the the HP difference is only 14, I'm still skeptical youd be able to get 20 HP on a stock GT with just a tune. Traditionally the Ford tunes would include an intake upgrade with the tune.

Unless the GT has another screen I think the only difference is inlet size.

what the heck is wrong from about 4200-5300 rpm?
