Heck. My daughter could kick their dad's ass X10.The modern day equivalent of my dad can kick your dad's ass.![]()
LMAO this has been the best comment I've seen in a while, I personally don't have anything against the Darkhorse from a performance perspective because quite honestly it's the better car, and I would have gotten one if the front end was color matched like the base GT, but I just can't see myself spending that much for a car that I'm not in love with the looks, when I bought both of my Camaro SS 1LE's it was because I loved the way they looked along with the performance, but I also understand that looks are subjective so some people are going to love the way the Darkhorse looks. Shout out to anyone that buys any of these cars because that means that we're all auto enthusiasts so no need to throw shade either way.![]()
You guys are the best!!!! This has been entertaining as hell.
I haven't watched the video as I don't need justification as to why I purchased a Dark Horse over a GT (which my previous Mustang was). I wanted it, I can afford it, so I did it. End of list.
If you are down? Jump in!
if you aren't? Jump off!
Still, best of luck in your ventures. Beats working a 9-5 for sure.
I do enjoy a good channel though; Jacob, Joel, Tyler, Derek, hell even Brandon if you guys are reading this (and I know at least 2 of you are on here) keep doin' your stuff. People that SHOW me things that I don't know about or don't know how to do? Those guys I respect. People who throw shade because it doesn't align with their dreams, or maybe budgets, or their whatever. Those tend to be failed channels waiting to happen.
Some channels are highly informative. Others are basically Only Fans with Engines.
Yup I know exactly how you feel, that's how I felt when I traded in my 24 GTI for a 24 Golf R, I actually liked many things about the GTI more and I was tempted to go back but then I was like wait I have the Golf R let me stop trippin lol.Yeah, I can't see myself downgrading my DH to a GT anytime soon.
Not in anyway saying that the GT is a bad car.
I think it's a great car and everyday find myself feeling a little envious after seeing pictures of a great looking GT.
Then I remember, I have a DH!
Honest answer/questions:Very close!
1: The OTD Price is way cheaper 42k Vs $78,000 that’s a $36,000 difference that’s a whole other car!
2: The cost of maintenance is way cheaper Just the cost of tires alone you’re spending roughly $427 a tire for the 305’s on the dark horse vs $211 a tire for the 255’s on the base model GT.
3: The base model GT looks better than the dark horse in my opinion due to the front grill on the dark horse.
4: The Mustang Dark horse weighs more than the base GT with the dark horse weighing roughly 3,993 lbs and the base GT weighing 3,827 that’s 166 pound difference literally the weight of another human being.
5 Performance I watched a U drag episode of the Dark horse with the automatic gearbox in optimal settings run a 4.3 0 to 60 and I ran a 4.8 on a dusty road in 93 degree weather with a base model manual gearbox Mustang GT, so it just doesn’t make sense to be paying over $36,000 to get roughly the same performance in the real world, and have higher maintenance and worse looks.
There you go for everyone not wanting to watch the video lol you guys hate Youtube content I see![]()
Well you can save a lot of money selling take offs too so upgrading rims and tires doesn't have to cost too much. Lots of people want the current GT rims for older cars or lower spec cars.Honest answer/questions:
1. Lots of cars have a 35k trim level difference. You will dump another 3K into your car for wheels and tires....and at that point you paid 22k less than most pay for a DH. That may not be a great value but its not bad..... and some percentage of the difference will be paid back to DH owners when the car is sold.....
2. Most all of us will purchase PS4s any way. Possibly 5% Darkhorse owners will keep buying Perelli tires.
3. Have you seen the two cars side by side in real life?
4. Yep
5. Have you driven a DH???
Your an idiot...but Im not going to tell you why unless you watch my 20 minute videoI make videos, yes I want people to watch it and support my content, that's the whole purpose of making content, IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED THEN DON'T WATCH AND SHUT THE EFF UP! LMAO Whats wrong with people asking people to watch and support their content? When did that become a bad thing? I could write everything out here which would be time consuming and wouldn't benefit me in anyway, so basically what you're saying is that you want me to waste my time and not benefit myself in anyway, or I could make a video that can benefit anyone that watches it, it can be entertaining and informative and I can also make a few pennies in the process. Like everyone in the Toyota forum's are cool and understand this no problem I'm trying to understand why it's such a big deal here? Please explain.
Yeah, for me the best-looking wheels ever put on a mustang are the DH HP wheels. Perfection. If ford knows anything they can make a good looking wheel. Same for F-150, bronco..ext. Upper trim wheels are legit.Well you can save a lot of money selling take offs too so upgrading rims and tires doesn't have to cost too much. Granted you could get more for dark horse take offs but those don't really need a performance upgrade.
Yup I've seen both cars side by side and I prefer the look of the Regular GT, I haven't driven one but I've owned a 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE as well as a 21 Subaru WRX STI and a FL5 Honda Civic Type R so my guess is that it will have a similar driving feel to those cars which is amazing, I already know it's going to drive a whole lot better than the base GT.Honest answer/questions:

3, 4, 8, and especially 1. Every tiy I'd fully upgrade a model I'd be a few thousand away from the next model. Now I'm afraid of damaging it. Plus I have a wedding coming up, so I decided on selling it. Love the Tremec and Ember Blue. So I found a 2023 GT Nite Horse and will see it tomorrow with my mechanic.I think we are all car enthusiasts here,it just depends on what you are looking for.
When I started to look for a retirement gift for myself I narrowed it down to a
C8 ( no manual no back seat)
M2 ( 6 cylinder and body "styling" )
Early 2000's 911 (parts and engine power)
Gt 500 (price and transmission)
Mustang Gt/ Dark Horse
I chose the Dark Horse over the Gt for a few reasons,
1-A loaded Gt was approaching Dark Horse money,
I ended up getting 6k off msrp
2-stronger lower end ( I plan to install headers and a supercharger soon)
3-Better cooling,
4-suspension (i don't care about a rough ride) And I think the handling pkg rides fine
5-Tremec transmission- i love the shifting feel
6 and 7-The wing and the front splitter ( makes it look more aggressive and will help at the occasional track session.)
8-blue ember paint ( just like the way it looks with bronze wheels)
I'm sure there are a few more im not thinking of but for me that's more than enough
The one thing I didn't like were the pirelli trofeo rs tires.( no grip in cold temperatures) I will save them for the track.
I bought the Car in December and ordered a set of continental DWS06 for winter
and a set of replica GTD wheels with PS4S 325 FRONT AND 355 rear. Tons of grip.
2000 miles and many more to come hopefully.
I've seen other videos of you which briefly entertained me as I can tell you're a car enthusiast and you feel joyful(as you should)driving a supercharged v8 around your streets. But I dont need to see this one.You guys let me know if you agree with these reasons or not, especially reason number 3 which I know can be subjective. If you're not interested in supporting me or my content I completely understand, but for those of you that want to be a part of a positive movement to keep companies like Ford producing fun V8 muscle cars, go ahead and watch the video and feel free to give me your feedback after watching.
You‘ll get no argument from me on this. They’re beautiful. Not to mention the statement made by 315s on 11s from the factory.Yeah, for me the best-looking wheels ever put on a mustang are the DH HP wheels. Perfection. If ford knows anything they can make a good looking wheel. Same for F-150, bronco..ext. Upper trim wheels are legit.
Now those RS tires were straight trash.
Yep, DH= Mach 1 +I've seen other videos of you which briefly entertained me as I can tell you're a car enthusiast and you feel joyful(as you should)driving a supercharged v8 around your streets. But I dont need to see this one.
Youtube is full of amateur videos(no offense) knocking down the DarkHorse and full of professional(not influencers) videos praising it.
Those that knock it down usually either cant afford it, are drag racers, dont take it to a road course and/or simply dont own it.
Those that praise it are usually passionate/professional drivers/reviewers. Check out how much fun Misha is having with it around the Ring.
I only needed one reason to convince me buy a DH over a GT: its better. Not going into the details of why as they've been explained countless times on this forum. If you're interested the info is there.
Mach1 is close to a DH but the s650 interiors are miles better.
