What is the real HP rating of the Mustang GT Base & Premium?

My order sheet says 450 HP but I have seen numerous articles stating Ford announced 480 on base/premium model GT. So which is it actually?

Agreed, but to state on the build and price its 450 but have literature that states 480 is a big mis-print if its wrong

Just add it to the list of things "wrong" in the literature for the 7th gen. All that matters is we are getting builds!!

Ford has been known to over estimate HP.

That's at the rear wheels. There are parasitic losses in the drivetrain which is why you saw different numbers on a dyno pull. All cars do this. Always have. HP is measured at the crankshaft usually listed as BHP (brake horse power).

@dgc11 That is at the Wheels all Manufactures measure the advertised HP at the Crank. There is about a 15% to 20% parasitic loss through the drivetrain. Assuming the loss it 20% that put the crank HP at ~459. It depends on the Transmission, Manuals have less of a loss than the Autos typically.

I wonder why Ford went to two throttle bodies since the "500" horse Coyote in the DH does not make any more power than the 25 less on paper single throttle body Coyote in the Mach 1 ?
