The Premium package is kinda confusing on these. I guess if you go with non-recaros the seats are nicer. You get the puddle lights. And you have to chose this option to choose the appearance package. Supposedly stitching, however my non-premium came with almost all the same accent stitching...
Fords C8 competitor is a whipped Dark horse or GT. Here in a few weeks you can even get a Whipple with ford part # installed at a dealership. The design and collaboration are there, and they absolutely want customers to do it. You just can't finance the final option with the car.
As far as...
I pulled the exact same thing off with my 17GT. Bought for 35K traded for 24K 6.5 years later. Probably won't continue but during the span of the G6 mustang inflation just kept Car Values. I remember Blue Booking the thing in 2019 and it was worth 22K with 15K miles on it.
Even at the highest end of Car Audio people are not running silver speaker wire. Possibly there are competition sound quality cars out there that have it. Fact is the stock wires are perfectly suitable for most upgrades, even with amplification.
My last car had a massive sound system in it...
Lighter, better ratios for the high RPM. Also from what I've read this 3160 has been upgraded in some key areas for the Mustangs. Also torque ratings are all done with a baseline 6000lb vehicle, so with a lighter vehicle these transmitions are not at capacity in stock form.
Auto no HP. Those are the vehicles not selling. But yeah when these cars have some miles on them I feel pretty good about a DH HP six speed maintaining a minimum 10K value distance between a fully loaded GT PP with equal miles. Both will drop significantly with miles and even more so beyond...
Man I had no intentions of buying a new car until I found mine on a lot the exact way I would have spec'd it. I also wanted a Tremec and just really love the look of the DH.
So no. But a GT spec'd with the options I wanted cost 10K less than my DH HP. I'll get every cent of that difference...
I can only tell you that I owned a 2017 GT PP1 manual with the FP power pack 2/Borlas..... I made it about on block before I could tell the DH was different and the difference was enough that I knew I wasn't going back. Everything, I mean everything is an upgrade. The first bitch I have is...
If car guys want to get pissed it shouldn't be at ford. They are not the company that built the next gen car only to option a DCT. I had the same issue as you and just went the other way. I'm not ready to give up three pedals.
Yikes, yeah, I know Chevy hit 670 N/A. I have no doubts that motor cost more than a Base GT. The biggest bitch about these cars isn't the motor....its the cost.
I doubt highly that ford will create another V8 motor. You have your Coyote and your 7.3 for about 3-4 more years and then say goodby. I'm have doubts that they will ever be able to make the 7.3 work in a mustang just from an emissions perspective.
They had to choke down the previous...
Any DH buyer can stretch it to a C8. I considered a C8 for a while. Honestly the DH is better looking (In my opinion), has a manual (which I refuse to give up), and has an option to Whipple if I get bored. If a C8 had a manual I that's where my $$ would have gone.
Sure. Comparatively to the 24GT, 23Charger, and 23Camero a DH is geared shorter. Its geared higher than my 17 GT which was just stupid. They were trying really hard to get respectable 0-60 times on 435 HP back then.
I've never driven or ridden in a 1LE or a G6 Camero, but it's well documented that it was just an overall better chassis for track/spirited driving. Chevy did everything BUT make it irresistible.... I never at any time looked at one of those cars and said, "damn thats a sweet car". And for...
