Ford has been known to over estimate HP.
Found an artical on the internet for my 2023 GT with a dyno of a stock 2023 GT 5.0

gen 3 Coyote crate engines have dynoed 495hp

If I'm not mistaken, for the 2023 GT's, they lowered the HP from 460hp to 450hp to deal with the EPA issues. From 2018 to 2022, the HP (Crank) is 460.

Ford use to advertise less Horse Power.
This was done to help younger drivers save money on Car Insurance.
I don’t know if this practice is still applicable

That might be it and I guess also to trick the EPA perhaps?? Just seemed weird that they would lower the HP just to do that for was it, 1 year model?? Smart on their part if it worked.
