And they're a weapon on an long auto-cross course. They have their place in the market.

Mustangs attract a lot of kids (young people, not goats, lol) but have become even more costly to buy and own, which is pricing many of them out of the market. When Mustangs first hit the market a long time ago, they weren't "cheap" to buy then either. Today, we have Joe Biden to thank for fucking up the economy with inflation.

The time value of money is a good thing to know and understand well especially when buying cars, houses, and other big ticket items. None should be bought for instant gratification but, sadly, many are bought that way and it's a costly way to live. Meanwhile, back at the ranch......
Let's not get too political, but both sides have been a shit show when it comes to the economy.

I forgot to ask how the Z feels driving in non-spirited applications. How does it feel on regular, speed-limit-abiding city roads?

It settles down completely. Very comfortable. Its a really great brand new 25 year old car, lmao. It feels like a refined 350 or 370z, which is sort of refreshing considered what most modern cars have become.

The new Z doesnt feel like a rolling computer as much as most new cars do, or at the very least it just hides it well. Wild to think that this platform is as old as it is already.
Only issue for just driving this thing around is the storage space. The rear shelf sits very high and theres very little storage room.

Such a stellar car. Its funny, going from working on Jag’s and Healey’s to these, and its hardly any different. The Japanese really just took what was great about those cars, copied it, made it more reliable, and sold it.

Such a great engine, truly

Good to know. I like my EcoBoost, but hope someday I can get into a GT. The '90s 300ZX was my favorite car in my childhood and it's still my favorite Z to this day!

I saw an ex-demo 370Z at a local mall yesterday. 1800kms, retail new $91,000, marked down to $69,995.
But I didn't like the look, not very special in any way, and we have a real problem here in that dealers buy used JDM cars in Japan, import them and cut the guts out of the NZ new residuals. It happened to me with my GT86, and I swore I'd never buy another new Jap brand.

They only sell a couple thousand a year. Never sold many 370Z or GT-R's either.

I'm not sure I would call it a failure because it never sold 150,000 a year like the Mustang used to.
Nissan's failure in producing the new Z in numbers and in not producing a convertible is the reason I bought my GT Vert. I waited as long as I was willing to, and gave up the wait. . Glenn
