Put the Miata or 86 on a twisty road and they're anything but nannymobiles. They just not sprinters.

I know, its why I said they're low tech and nanny cars, lol.

We've owned a Miata and they're a VERY fun car in serious twisties. They'll run away from a lot of things on, say, The Dragon, or anywhere there are serious twisties. They're light weight, wide, and have good tires on them. Soft compound tires are about all that are available for them. In a drag race, no, not built for that.

It's also often far more fun to "drive a slow car fast". My M3 and the New GT will run circles around my AP1 S2000, but it's still far more fun than either of them, especially on a winding road.
