Ahh the good old days! I was running Wildcat! and later on PCBBS (I think?) but just to fool around with. I offered shareware and it was a good place for close friends to swap software, sell gear and chat. I think I was running it under DesqView at the time. I did manage to get a heavily discounted US. Robotics HST modem from the company. I remember it had a plate affixed to it to discourage resale. Those were really great times that today's generation missed out on..I ran a multi-line BBS (bulletin board system) under OS/2 using Maximus BBS software. That was after years of running T.A.G. BBS software under DOS (multiple machines) and, later, under DESQview. At one point, I had nearly a dozen phone lines @ my house.
Ahh, the pre-Internet commercialization days.
