The attached SSM was sent to all dealers on 5/29. Basically, Ford is aware that Sync has issues even if you are on the latest update. A new APIM update is supposedly coming in Q4 for all vehicles that address the issues. This system is still awful. Now in google maps I frequently can't hit "ok" or "dismiss" when I search for an address and the route comes up.
Today the system wouldn't leave the screen that pops up when you reverse, but it woudn't show the camera.
Frequent issues with no audio in carplay trying to stream stuff.
At this point I don't know if its just crap QC, the android OS on the headunit being garbage, or apple being mad I'm using a google product (speaking specifically to the carplay issues)
Oh and almost forgot about how slow the graphic is when switching between drive modes.
Either way, how the infotainment system is still this buggy after a year is laughable.
Seems they are so aware they listed ‘mustang’ twice excluding the mach-e.The attached SSM was sent to all dealers on 5/29. Basically, Ford is aware that Sync has issues even if you are on the latest update. A new APIM update is supposedly coming in Q4 for all vehicles that address the issues.
If that was the dumbest thing Ford has ever done, we'd be in a much better place right now.Seems they are so aware they listed ‘mustang’ twice excluding the mach-e.
The Mustang Mach-E is listed. Unless you were just pointing out that the Mustang was listed twice IN ADDITION TO the Mach-E.Seems they are so aware they listed ‘mustang’ twice excluding the mach-e.![]()
Correct 2+1, there’s that three again… oopps. The Mustang Mach-E is listed. Unless you were just pointing out that the Mustang was listed twice IN ADDITION TO the Mach-E.
Surely if @Ford Motor Company is willing to push a half baked piece of software out the door before its ready for release, then they will definitely meet the "q4" target with a comprehensive and effective patch. The attached SSM was sent to all dealers on 5/29. Unfortunately it’s the accepted norm. Fully baked went out the window with os/2Surely if @Ford Motor Company is willing to push a half baked piece of software out the door before its ready for release, then they will definitely meet the "q4" target with a comprehensive and effective patch.

I ran a multi-line BBS (bulletin board system) under OS/2 using Maximus BBS software. That was after years of running T.A.G. BBS software under DOS (multiple machines) and, later, under DESQview. At one point, I had nearly a dozen phone lines @ my house.Same!
It was a great OS way ahead of it's time but with horrible marketing.
Loading ~30 1.44mb diskettes to install it was , ahem, interesting. Especially if it would pop CRC errors on the 25th diskette... lol !!1
