Yep, the gt 500 will basically be a GTD that starts at less than 100k that uses some of the GTD parts, but ditches the carbon fiber and other super expensive components."Farley calls the recently announced, track-focused Mustang GTD – a Nürburgring-tested creation with 800bhp, a sophisticated aero package and a £240,000 price – “a down payment” "
That all but confirms for me that the 2025 teaser they did was a 5.2 supercharged V8 with a transaxle, probably this generations 500 replacement.
You beat me to it. We already have a great mustang EVSo are they admitting the Mach E isn't a Mustang?
a Mustang EV doesn’t exist. Sounds like it never will. You beat me to it. We already have a great mustang EV
Psst pass the boss the note:a Mustang EV doesn’t exist. Sounds like it never will.
An EV SUV? It’s out there. Isn’t doing very well, likely due to some confusing marketing. But it’s a nice suv.
They just need to reintroduce a different nameplate in my opinion if they start adding doors. Up until recently (and even still in some cases) people see the Mustang as the long hood, short deck coupe. lol. The Falcon after some time was essentially a Mustang 4 door that could do well.I was about to post the same,
a 4 door would copy the German trends where they do a 4 door variant of 2 door variant of a 4 door car (don't ask why, Eg BMW 4 series Gran Coupe)
They have killed off everything but cuv/suv's trucks and the mustang, guess they need to fulfil the mondeo / fusion / focus gap with something.
I remember when they ditched the Granada/Scorpio (in Europe) left them with a company car hole for a few years until they purchased Jaguar and made the X type out of the Mondeo platform.
The fusion was made at flat rock for a little while it could be a new model made there. Probably with the ecoboost more than the v8
Boss says: “like I said. Not a mustang. Too bad for the confusing marketing.”Psst pass the boss the note:
‘For the first time in 56 years, Ford is expanding the Mustang lineup with the all-electric Mustang Mach-E SUV joining the sports coupe, convertible and special editions,’

Was it the four doors or the tall haunches? The Mustang looks like it will become a hybrid. V8+EV.
ITS REALLY THE ONLY WAY. Even if the v8 ends up as basically the power supply for the electric motors.
the e ray and countach seem to indicate this would be a great evolution.

um… gee… I think the boss said something about SUV…Was it the four doors or the tall haunches?
