With the reveal of the Ford Evos I got the feeling that the new Mustang will use a pretty similiar design language. A few hours in photoshop later I can present you my new Renderings for the upcoming Mustang.

I actually really like the outcome how single frame grille and the Evos-bodylines look on a 2-door fastback.

Now we only need a few prototypes on the streets to get a real glimpse what is doing with the S650

Great work but, as others have said, I hope that is not the car we get. It is a good looking design, but nothing about it says "Mustang" to me other than the long hood-short deck.

As always, thank you for sharing your excellent work! Hope it doesn't come that way, though. It looks modern, sure. But it also looks like the result of a Camaro and a S550 having a one night stand.
Ok glad I wasn't the only one who immediately thought of the 19+ camaro front end. I'm actually one of the few people who don't hate it so...

If anything I think the headlights are a bit too squinty but alas I'm excited to see what the final design will look like.

Thank you for trying @Ace but this time I think you are miles off. The presented pictures try to mix the Evos with some Mustang silhouet but I think that you generally do a much better job of capturing something...

The front bumper is oddly high above the ground, the car itself looks very small - almost like an Audi TT - and the end is weird as well. Besides, I don't get the slightest Mustang vibe...

This rendering looks almost exactly like a Honda NSX and is therefore "ein Griff ins Klo" ;)

No disrespect I just think that the Evos pictures are closer to a Mustang than these pictures.

I was gonna say Camry, but zero argument w/your assessment. Either way, based upon those renderings, my PP2 is not leaving my garage any time soon.

Ace,

This sort of what I was trying to get at in the other thread with my EXTREMELY limited editing skills (I am lucky I can do a simple squish). I still think the sheet metal on the sides is too much and it can lose a bit off the bottom/middle, but this is a nice rendering. Thank you for doing it!

I acutally oriented the stance on S550. So the ride heigth is how an actual car would be like 😉 Mabye it's ab it of an optical illusion because of the black bars on the sides

Of course without any form of prototypes spotted everything is just a wild guess. But the 2013 Evos concept was pretty much the design sheet for the S550. And we saw pretty much 1:1 the Evos bodylines on the "Progressive Energy In Strength" sculpture as a Mustang. So Evos might be nearest clue towards Gen 7 that we have atm. Will be interesting what the Nascar on May 5th will show us.
Once get closer to S650 and have actual clues, I will of course make more renderings

We also already saw the similiar frontend on the Ford Equator (which is indeed for the chinese market too), but I am pretty sure the big single frame grille will be Fords new corporate design that we will also see on the refreshes of Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta

I actually really like it! Although to be fair I think the charger and (2017) camaro have better front ends than the 2018+ s550. (I actually like the Challenger front end the best, but it's so retro I think it's unfair to compare it.) Still, the S550 has some of the best body lines and one of the best back ends in the business. The Mazda 3 jowls are a little eh, but I'll take remotely attractive bumper vents any day -- it seems every automaker has to add jagged lines down there and it's gross.
