Holy cow...10 years old, 34k miles (ok that's not much) and still $56k? It's a manual though. And why the heck does it get power Recaros and Mustangs don't...
Depends on what you want to do with the car. The stock non-HP wheel/tire combo on the Dark Horse is the same as the one on my Mach 1 (9.5/255 front and 10/275 rear) I believe. For normal and even spirited street driving it is fine but I don't know how the Pirellis are. I remember my 2016 GT...
Here, this is what I meant, they pop up for sale here and there https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/oem-mach-1-hp-wheels-19x11-for-sale.193567/ . I got mine from a member, too. Price was the same. Just need a little luck with location.
The Pirelli's have a treadwear rating of 100, so I would definitely save them for the track. Michelin Cup 2s have 180 and are less expensive and good chance you can find them on the M6G forum classifieds as take-offs with low mileage and for about half of the MSRP.
If OP wants to use the DH HP...
Hi and congrats on the new ride! The HP parts are mentioned here but you probably know that already. https://shop.ford.com/configure/mustang/config/packages/Config%5B%7CFord%7CMustang%7C2024%7C1%7C1.%7C700A.P8R..PK1...COU.67P.MAC.YZTAC.%5D?intcmp=moddetails-bb-fbc
I think the biggest challenge...
Hi,
This might be a little premature as deliveries have just started in the past couple weeks.
Just wanted to see if someone with a DH with Handling Package was wanting to (or planning to) part with their wheels?
Thank you!
So had you taken delivery, they suddenly wanted a 10k markup? What a terrible business practice. I think I read this somewhere else here in regards to a different dealership. Regardless, you made the right decision!
That is neat. Will never understand Ford's logic (maybe there is none) with regards to specialty vehicles. GT350 (2019/2020) and GT500 got specific puddle lamps, Bullitt did not, but got a special airbag cover (like the Shelbys). Mach 1 got none of the above. 🤔
I guess it's what Ford pictures as the new generation of Mustang enthusiasts: Can't drive stick, needs video game type animated screens and poser-revs in a parking lot.
Makes me wonder how the OG 60s muscle car guys see us S550 folks with heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheels, etc...
Had an MT82 D4 in my 2019 Bullitt and now have the Tremec in my 2021 Mach 1. Tremec is without a doubt superior.
However, the MT 82 isn't bad. Sure, it is a little vague (think stirring mashed potatoes) but with the available modifications (trans fluid, MGW shifter, Calimer rebuilt etc.), a...
I think it is the lighting in this pic. Ford has mastered the art of reusing existing/old designs. These type of material seats have been used in the Shelby GT350 and the California Special trim for a long time I think. They could have done some new type of seat for the S650 IMO.
Ford can be eternally grateful that GM didn't fix the main Camaro issues of poor visibility, trunk space, and interior. Boggles my mind that GM never addressed that with a redesign as they already have the better platform. It would have provided for a lot more sales I think. Pretty much every...
Very cool to see things moving so quickly for you. In this day and age, I wouldn't be surprised if there were massive delays so get what you CAN get.
I'm surprised there are no videos reviews (the usual suspects' YouTube channels) with press cars out yet.
It does sound mean
I think it is priced right. It will probably outrun the GT350 and Mach 1 on the track (it kind of has to) and has upgraded tech and a little bit of nicer stuff here and there (flat bottom steering wheel, rear Brembo brakes, for example). Would I personally buy one? Probably not anytime soon...
I'll never understand why the Youtubers that yell the entire time and have cuts every 5 seconds appear to have the most/millions of subscribers. Stressful to watch, let alone annoying. Maybe I'm just getting old 🧓
