To that point, I've been followed and even pulled over a couple times just so the officer could check out my car. I have a clean record, no tickets or accidents, and I don't drive recklessly at high speed, so there's no reason to pull me over. When they ask if I know why they pulled me over, depending on the agency, I'll give them shit. If it's a Stater or Highway Patrol, I'll tell them it's because they obviously want to see my car and they don't deny it. If it's a Sherriff or a local, I'll tell them it's because I let them and we have a laugh, and they send me on my way.

Whenever I get pulled over and they ask me...Do you know why I pulled you over...I either respond: Because I let you, or Did you forget already?

Yeah, you never know how an officer's disposition will be but one thing is for sure: WSP istrained to be very professional. They can actually get fired for being rude and unproffesional to people. It's the one thing about WSP that seperates them from other agencies, from what I understand. I've encountered one that was a little difficult, but they are always professional in my experience.

You would be wise to get serious about that question because there is a very specific reason they ask you that. Try to outrun any state trooper and you will lose in any kind of vehicle. Watch some Arkansas State Trooper YouTubes and you'll get a reality check.
