2 nights ago on a taco run I had a 30 something guy in a Tesla X sport take off on me at a light, gave me the peace sign as he pulled away. Not cool!
By 3rd gear I was gaining and about to his bumper when I had to brake because I was going 3 times the speed limit.
He followed me into my parking spot to chat as he was a car guy , asked to take pics of my car.
Is it a manual he asked… yes sir I said. Fast iPad you got there!

I believe Saleen has a Tesla model now. I noticed compared to Shelby Daleen has decent prices on the 302 White Label. Still a Tremec is needed.

Being in SoCal, I'd say any day I drive I'll get 1 or 2 Infinitis with bumpers hanging on for dear life try to egg me on; however, If I drive down by the coast or go down to OC territory it'll definitely be Teslas all day.
Surprisingly, Camaros and the Dodge lineup are pretty tame out here.

The only thing you'll hear as a Tesla passes you is tire noise, and maybe wind. If it's a Saleen GTX you'd swear it's a fighter jet.

Check it out on YouTube. Saleen GTX. They took a Tesla S and tricked it out do it would have sound. Like an F-16. Video is .21 seconds. I'd post it but can't figure out how.

Is there a specific type of driver who tries to race you? Do drivers of certain types of cars consistently think they need to prove themselves against you? This is purely generalization, but I want to see if there is one or two vehicles that tend to lead the pack, if it's evenly spread across all drivers of all makes and models, or if it's geographical, which I think might be the case.

For me, North of Seattle, hands down it's the Subaru drivers. BMW drivers are a close second, but every single day, without fail, at least one Subaru will come up beside me on the highway, rev their engine, and then floor it ahead of me like they think we're racing. WRX and BRZ drivers are the biggest subsect, I'm sure to nobodies surprise, but Legacy and Forrester drivers do it, too. And one Baja. That one was odd.

To my surprise, Nissan drivers, (Z and GT-R folks), don't want to race, but will more often than not stop beside me and want to talk to me at red lights and such, which I think is awesome. I've also never had another Mustang driver try to race me.

Anybody and everybody would want to race. I just ignored them. They want to be entertained at my expense. BTW, the Z06 is a just a fast POS which is why I got rid of it.

lol That's interesting...I was thinking about getting a C7 Z06 but couldn't find a 2019 MT. I don't want anything to do with the earlier ones that have IAT issues. I finally decided on just getting a speced out GT and modding it for boost. People like to kill me for chosing a 750 whp GT over a Z06, but I like having the new car with a MT. I still sometimes wonder if I should have just gotten the Z06.
